Seaspray and Deep Dive should have been released in Different Lines.

Deep Dive makes more sense for the Hunt For Decepticons line then Seaspray who should have been released as a Reveal The Shield character.
I think it is rediculous how much Hasbro/Takara has reused molds and slapped different names on them just to get them out the door. It is cool to rerelease the same figure with some tweaks but if you are going to use the same mold at least make some major changes like how Grappel and Inferno compare.
I would just rather have Seaspray in Reveal The Shield as he is more of a G1 character.
Some of the character placement seems weird. Is Reveal the Shield a classic based line or a mixed line with the movie figures?
It is starting to seem the latter.

... Just one minor nitpick...
"Should HAVE", not "Should OF".
It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine, sorry. Not trying to be a Grammar Nazi.

It's just marketing. Think of it like this: We're getting some movie characters. We're getting some Classic characters. Does it matter what packaging they're in?

The big question is "Should Deep Dive exist at all?"

Me? I keep Seaspray (and U Powerglide for that matter) with the MP/Alt figures. They're in scale and lets face it, that's what they are. Especially with DOTM giving us a new Powerglide.
On the topic of which line: There was a gap between HftD and RTS of about 6 months. The mold was obviously made to be Seaspray so they couldn't realistically have put out Deep Dive first. The only way they could have done Seaspray as RTS would have been to drop Deep Dive entirely.

At least Hasbro is trying to make different characters these days. Better than the days of Powerlinx ..., Energon ... and ... GTS of the A/E/C trilogy where repaints were released en masse with no new tweaks, features, etc.
Some of the character placement seems weird. Is Reveal the Shield a classic based line or a mixed line with the movie figures?
Yes.

Yeah, I don't think nowadays we display figures by their lines anymore. Or at least I don't do that anymore. There are just too many to confuse people for marketing purposes. If I think it looks fit with classics (or CHURG), even if it is from A/E/C, RiD, or movie lines, I will just put it there.

I agree with Diem, Deep Dive is a waste! or could've been called something different and tossed to the Decepticon side at least.

Huh, I assumed he WAS a Decepticon. I cared so little about Deep Dive that I don't actually know anything about him.

I agree...and the big answer is:
NO...sorry, it wouldn't let me answer any bigger than that.

He's an Autobot, just like Bodyblock, the repaint of Breacher
Sea Spray actually just got itself relocated to my Classics shelf, because, well, let's face it, he was supposed to be an updated G1 Seaspray according to Hasbro. It's only because of a lack of a Voyager Class for Generations that he was dumped in the basic 2010 line. Remember, HftD is just a campaign, the line proper was just "Transformers" without a subline imprint.

Who cares what sub-line name they print on the box? I sure don't. To me, anything that isn't a character from the movies or clearly designed to have the same aesthetic as them is a Classics/Universe figure. So to me, Sea Spray and Deep Dive are both Classics/Universe figures.

I wish Deep Dive was at least a Decepticon!
I will be buying the Seaspray mold!

I actually like Deep Dive better than Sea Spray; I just think the colours are cooler.
...And both of them are going on my "Classics/Universe/Generations" shelf along with Bludgeon, Bonzai-Tron, Lockdown, Axer, Breacher, and Hubcap (and quite possibly Scattorshot and Firetrap).
