DOTM Packaging - English AND Spanish?

Recently on DOTM packaging (NOT on DOTM Preview Pack Prime) that we've been shown (for example, two pack Cyberverse with rodimus, Sideswipe, Topspin, etc) in Yellow Writing they have Spanish subtitles. Why are they just NOW starting this. Shouldn't they have done this a while back? It's good because it helps people that can't read English be able to enjoy Transformers, but I'm just wondering why they didn't do this earlier in the Transformers lines.

Probably because the Census has recently reveled that the Hispanic population is now the #1 Minority in the U.S.

Hasbro however has been including Spanish in their International packages for certain areas for a while now. The Canada/Latin American Packaging for instance carries French and Spanish along with English. This also accounts for the fact that International packages almost never get Bios on characters. Too much text.

True, but maybe they should have made the bios shorter? Eh I guess it's still OK. :D

I should scan the cardback of my RtS figures: only two or three lines of text for each of the 12(!) languages:

English
French
German
Spanish
Portuguese
Italian
Dutch
Swedish
Danish
Greek
Polish
Turkish

This really isn't anything new. RID figures were trilingual and I think some of the AEC era was as well.

I think the movies made that take a backseat, but now we're back onto multiple language packaging.

As long as I still get my plastic crack I'm happy. The box could be written in Tagalog and I wouldn't care.

In England we get a whole stack of translations with a two line bio.
