How rare is the GoBot combiner Puzzler? I seem to remember him being the only GoBot combiner and I was thinking about adding him to my collection.

He's not incredibly rare, but he is pretty cool, and not too expensive to boot. There was also Monsterous and the two ship combiners Courageous and Grungy.

I have him and he is pretty awesome for a Gobot. If you watch ebay you can probably get him for $30-$50. Monsterous is the more expensive to get out of the two.

I like both those combiners. I like Puzzler quite a bit for his primitive combiner aesthetic. He just looks old school. He's sorta prototypical. Especially in the manner in which he combines. He's goin for upwards of the 80 dollar range now too.

Monstrous is a good looker too. He's goin for $120 plus range now.

I bid on those guys on Ebay a couple years back and had been out bid but wasn't to heartbroken about it.

I'd really like to get both for sure. Thanks for the reminder. My hunt begins anew.

One thing to note about Courageous & Grungy is it is sort of like Power Core Connectors where the limbs aren't "sentient" robots like Puzzler & Monstrous but are supposed to be power suits where you place extra Gobot figures inside. There is also a place in the large ship for a gobot to go in. They look cool but some people only like it when the limbs are robots too...

Actually, Monsterous is easier and cheaper to find. Most of the Japanese counterpart Machine Robo's Devil Satan Six, is even more expensive. It's the better repaint of Monsterous combiner and easily goes for $350.

And there are the 3 combiners. Two were shown in GoBots but there is a third from Machine Robo that is a tank and helicopter.

Any toy from Machine Robo: Battle Hackers is right up there with Masterforce and Victory rare toy prices. Don't front on MR!!!!

All of the Gobot combiners are actually pretty cool. The power suit combiners are cool, too because the main part of the combiner doubles as a nifty spaceship. If you go for the power suit combiners, note that not all Gobots will fit in all suits although as I recall, it can stand and display with empty suits.

Though they look kind of clunky, but individually, but the detail of the individual vehicles come to par with that of the Diaclone/TF deluxe cars. Lots of die-cast (yummy)

Just wondering if TF gestalts implemented the same amount as the ones used on Puzzler............would they be too heavy to support the weight?

Just imagine the stunticons having the die-cast on the car bodies instead of their robo torso? And use rubber tires? Wowza!

A pity that it's Bandai that owns the molds, I would have wanted to get an opportunity to be able to get one and Courageous.

I still have my original Puzzler, save the blue car leg. That piece I lucked out on and got from a friend. A few of the tires are gone, but I keep him combined so it doesn't make much difference.

I just picked up a complete Puzzler on ebay for around $30 US. He's in pretty good shape and is sitting on my shelf combined next to some of my G1 combiners.

I want Monstrous, but not for the monstrous prices they're asking on ebay for it right now :P.
