You can still find him a few places; but prices have gone up. They appear to be headed up more.

I think a reissue of this specific figure is unlikely; though we might see this mold again sometime in the future. (It could be a long wait, though.)

If you're not dead set on getting the Takara version, you can still find the Armada and the recent TRU version on Ebay for decent prices. I've seen some go, complete, for $30 plus shipping. Sometimes it all comes down to being in the right place at the right time.

Plus the 2010 version is terrible. Big fat Orson Wells face.

I disagree. I think it is the best Unicron figure.

Not sure about the Takara figure, but I loved Orson's voice acting in the movie. I loved the way he pronounced Unicron...almost sounded more like UniCRUN.
In one of the bonus features on the anniversary edition, one of the guys on the production team talks about what bad shape Orson was in both physically and vocally(he passed away shortly after), and how they had to really work on his vocal tracks to make them sound good. I think they did an awesome job!

I also love Robert Stack as Ultra Magnus as well, although I did keep flashing back to his work on Unsolved Mysteries, or even airplane from time to time. :)

I wouldn't mind a Hasbro reissue of the 2010 Unicron fellow, with more accurate colors and the yellow band on the planet mode where the claws are. That would be perfect.

I think the 2010 version looks great and is easily the best one, but honestly, I couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed when it arrived. It just didn't quite feel like a $150 upgrade over what I already had in the previous version...

I'd only buy it to get Mini-con Bug.

The only problem I ran into with my Universe/Classics Unincron is that his "wings" are really loose in bot mode and just sort of flail around with the slightest of movement. I now display him in Planet mode, kind of propped up against the back of a shelf. So far there hasn't been any major accidents.

Does anyone know of a store that sells a stand for his planet mode? I know I've seen pics somewhere around here.

I have the same problem with my Armada Unicron. but somehow I managed to get them to stay in place after a lot of moving around and a lot of bad French....

What I finally resorted to doing was to take half of about an inck long piece of velcro with a sticky back and fix it to the shelf so the outer edge of the ring wedges against it. I think I just need to make my own stand somehow.

Brownnoize Productions sells the Throne of Chaos. They sold out of the first two runs but are taking preorders for a third. You can contact him here to preorder.

I have it and it is an excellent stand. Much better than the first one that was put out a few years ago. Costs $30 and $11 for shipping.

Damn, thats a little more than I was ready to spend on a stand. I think I'll get a sheet of plexiglass and cut, sand, and buff it myself to rig something up myself. Thanks anyway, the pics off of that site should give me a base line of sorts.

Same here. plus I really dig the way he did the voice for Unicron too.
