going through eBay this afternoon, I noticed this auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Transformers-G2-gen ... 20b87d7140

Looks like a loose G2 Motormaster. Not too many of those out there, just figured I would let anyone out there who may be interested in it know.

Seriously. I usually search ebay with a price range, so I don't usually see high dollar items like this, but I noticed this one, and immediatly saw the blue MM in the pic.

I see that someone bid on it, so I'm not the only one to see it, but I am curious to what it ends, at, and if it's low will we see it right back on again.

This looks as fishy as a Tricky Dick Three Dollar Bill(tm). The seller just repeats the same thing in answers to questions. No returns. Shipping is $50. Seller is in the Philippines.

I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

Seeing how there are only about 6 or so of those in the world, I'm going to guess that this is painted to look like it.

All the G2 Protectobots and Stunticons that I know of are in private collections by major collectors. Not just randomly in someone's collection of stuff to sell.

I dunno. At least those carded European Constructicons look nice.

Looks more or less a KO molded to look like the G2 version.

There's one known copy, and the official story is that someone found it in a factory.

What makes you say that it looks like a KO?

I had a MOSC set in my collection until recently. I say had, I've still got them but they're not MOSC anymore, the packing on Scavenger and Long Haul got damaged so I opened the rest to.

I've been converting them so they can actually form Devastator using G1/G2 parts.

The truth is - we don't how how many of these G2 Motormasters there are out there. This one could be real. The proof will be once a serious collector has it in hand and is able to study it properly. ;)

I hope whoever wins this auction has managed to get something really special.

This seems pretty fishy to me too.
Starting price was $499, so the seller must have had an inkling of an idea. It's not as if the G2 Constructicons or Skram warranted that kind of starting price. It also looks like the seller went out of his way to keep the description of Motormaster as vague and ambiguous as possible: even if it turns out to be a KO, the buyer will have a very hard time arguing it's significantly different than described in the listing. And of course no refunds and no returns.

Seller's previous e-Bay activity doesn't inspire me with much confidence either.

@ it's Him

Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.

First and foremost, why out of focus shot? Heck even the transwiki shots makes the real McCoy looks more KOish.

If I was in possession of one, I'd let loose the dogs of war with an overload of close up shots. But then again, a sucker is born every minute.

Well, it went for over 900 bucks, so someone thought it was real enough. i would be interested to see if it goes back on ebay in a couple of weeks.
