Bumblebee Solution

So, everyone's been complaining about the excess of toys Hasbro's put out in the last 4 years based on (effectively) the same design - Movie Bumblebee. I know I have, and don't deny it because you know you have.

Well, I have devised a perfect solution.

NOT BUYING THEM.

The kids love Bumblebee, it's a cash cow.

I've got all the 'Bees I need with Movie 1 deluxe Concept 'Bee and Cliffjumper, legends 'Bee, RH 'Bee and Cliffjumper and Movie Scenes damaged 'Bee, so I havn't been buying them for years now anyway. Actually that might be more than I need....

Not really a feasible solution. Even if every adult fan stops buying him kids and their parents would still keep picking him up and he'd still keep being released.

Why the hate? If a toy sells so well, isn't it a sign the francise as a whole makes money and can therefore continue?

That's right, but the fandom is suffering from a bad case of "Movie Bumblebee fatigue". And I mean BAD. For every Bumblebee we have another character could have been in that spot. For instance, Leader Blackout (ain't gonna happen people!) for Leader Bumblebee.

I bought exactly one BB... the ROTF one (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ebee/1757/) which is more than enough for me. Now I wish I'd waited and got the HFTD Battle Blade Bee (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ebee/2113/) but I'm not buying it when I already have one.

Same goes for Primes... I bought the ROTF Voyager Prime, and despite the excellent figure that is Battle Blades Prime, I'm not buying every version of the toy that comes out. It's too much! I want variety of characters, of variety of a character! (/rant) ;)

Dude, what's wrong? Some Hasbro exec pee on your rug or something?

I mean, fair play, don't like/don't want something, don't buy it, that's your prerogative. I dunno if it's gonna make a whole lot of difference though, as others have said, BB sells to kids, and the money goes back to Hasbro to make more TFs. I own a grand total of 2 movie-style TFs but am pretty sure we wouldn't be seeing the likes of Straxus, Thunderwing, etc without all of "dat hollywoodz moneyz".

I'd love Movie Bumblebee in the one size class he isn't available in: Scout.

Thrown in Barricade and Cliffjumper too. Slag it, all the deluxe cars as Scouts.

Even if no one bought movie BB, he'd just sit on the shelves forever, keeping the stores from reordering and restocking the figures you want instead, so it's pretty much a lose lose situation, brah.

I'm pretty sick of the character too by now. Hard to believe it was just a few years ago when there hadn't been any Bumblebees in over a decade.

I didn't buy any from the 2nd movie, but I have three from the first one. I got the concept Camaro, then later picked up a 2 pack of classic Camaro and "battle damaged" concept Camaro. That's plenty for me, though I admit being slightly tempted when Meijers had that recent giant one on sale for half off.

This! I totally would not mind if they'd release a Bumblebee in scourt class so I'd have a decent Bumblebee in scale with Battle Blades Prime. Have a Jazz in scout too! I want BB Prime, Deluxe Ratchet and DOTM Voyager/Deluxe Ironhide to be able to chill out with a scout Bumblebee and Jazz!

Bumblebee is the cash cow of the movie line and I'm fine with that. I bought a few of him and wasn't disappointed. This time around I simply won't be getting a figure of him.

What a simple solution, eh?
