Die Cast Paint Chipping Solutions

So we all know that die-cast parts will lose paint if you so much as think about them but is there any solution? Will finding the same coloured paint and reapplying fix it? Or is it just one of those things you have to live with? My G1 Headstrong looks like he has the Cosmic Rust.

Repainting is your best bet.
The only real way to keep paint from chipping off of diecast is to not handle the figure. Generally, metal parts aren't preppeed properly for toys to have good paint adhesion. That still doesn't account for play making it'd own dent into the paint.
