Today I picked up voyager starscream like some people I wasn't really all excited about the design but then I got a good look at him and wow he is something to behold. I kept going back and fourth between him and blackout for awhile but after everthing I have read about the problems with voyager class blackout I desided to wait awhile see if the fix the problems people have been having. I would love to know what other people think about this version of starscream.

I have him too, he's ugly but you just gotta love that transformation and the details.

Starscream is one of my favorite characters. I think this iteration is terrible. He is currently my least favorite movie Transformer. The transformation is horrible. The only thing I like is the rotating missile launchers. Those are sweet.

He is just plain ugly.

Blackout Rules and so does Leader Class Prime!!

The only other two that I know of are deluxe version of starscream and blackout. But when I started collecting the movie figures I said to myself I would only collect the voyager class versions, with the exception of leader class brawl because if deluxe version of him is any indication he will look amazing in both tank and robot form. Although I would love to see some picture of leader class brawl not that I have been able to find any.

Not to derail the thread or anything, but why is Brawl going to have a Leader version? Is he really a major player in the movie to deserve that? I kind of wish for an easier on the pocket Voyager version. Heck, there should never have been Deluxe versions of any of the characters save for Scorpunok (spelling?), and Classic Camaro Bumblebee. '08 Bumblebee, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Brawl, Jazz, and Wreckage should all have been Voyager sized somehow. Or maybe a "Super-Deluxe" (yes, I just made that up :D) where Jazz, and some others were smaller than Voyager, but bigger than Deluxe.

Anyway, like I said in another Starscream thread, I'm on the fence on this movie figure. Compared to the Starscream I remember, he seems to have de-evolved or something here. Just my humble opinion.

Either to flesh out the line a bit or to make him more in scale to the bigger to thge rest of the figures. In real life he would be a pretty small tank where as a leader class figure would be more in scale w/ Primes alt mode.

As for Starscream, I think he is pretty fugly. Only slightly better than Scorponok. I do think his alt mode is nicely executed and his automorph transformation is innovative, but his bot mode blows chunks.

I think the lack of any Brawl video is VERY telling.

I think he will play a surrogate Megatron role before Megatron himself awakens to finish Prime. In other words, I think Brawl will be a major bad@$$ in the film, fighting Prime one-on-one, and giving us a lot of the "eye candy" Bay said he was keeping from us until the movie is released.

Just my opinion/prediction.

Wait, wait.

How can you have an issue with a Tank being made bigger?? This is the type of stuff dreams are mae of,, wet ones. Hell, make him a Supreme. I want a big ass tank, a Fortress Maximus sized tank!!

Bigger is always better. ;)

What problems? I haven't noticed any problems on my black out.

EnergonPrimeRules haven't seen you in years here. Wow. I love your comics.

Voyager Starscream is awesome. I thought that I would hate him, but he ended up being my second-favorite Voyager next to Ratchet.

Blackout and Ironhide are the letdowns here. Blackout due to being very out-of-scale, and he can barely stand. Ironhide has great posability, but I don't see "Autobot" when I look at him....that and his stupid teddy-bear face and floppy shoulder-pads.

Starscream is hefty, has great weapon storage, a very satisfying automorph, and excellent articulation. He looks sweet in mid-air(I have him displayed on a tall doll-stand), and is very realistic. The engineering is overall very well-executed.

Can't wait for the G1-redeco, as well as Thundercracker, and, hopefully, Skywarp!

So many people have been complaining about this figure...yet he's(along with Blackout) the one who is flying off the shelves around here....

You know, you can lock those shoulder pads down. In fact, it seems they are supposed to be locked down, but I don't see a lot of people doing it.

Mess around with them, there is a point where they will lock and settle down, still allowing for articulation and the pads will form a horizontal line across his sholder.

Here, you are doing them like this right?

Hmmm...thanks CP. I have been trying to get them to lock down, but obviously rather unsuccessfully. I would prefer him that way, I'll mess with him somemore tonight. Hopefully I didn't get a bum one.

I really really like this figure. I can't wait for the Thundercracker repaint, and probably the inevitable Skywarp.
