Okay, I have seen Megatron and Shockwave at my local Wallyworld and I need to choose the better one. So, HONEST REVIEW NO FAVORTISM, I need a review of both figures, then I will make the decision.

I got Shockwave last night, but he was only fun for a day. I'm bored of him already. But he's the rarest one, so I say get him.

I...I don't know what one is better! I love both alt modes and the robot modes are great. the Megatron is the best we have ever got of him from the movie line. Go with Megatron. If you can get both

I've yet to see Shockwave, so I can't comment on him. Megatron is a great toy. He's got two good arms, a mechtech weapon that fits him, and a joint in his alt mode that is fun for hours by itself. His arms are skinny, though. His tarp is neat, but it's only good for one pose.

I can't really say since I only have Megs, I really want Shockwave

Based on looks alone go for Shockwave...'nuff said!

I'm not big in to collecting the movie figures but I do grab a couple here and there.

I have both DOTM Shockwave and Megatron. They compliment each other nicely but after having them I would definitely choose Shockwave over Megtron if I had to. Just an all around bad ass mold. Much more solid fee in my opinion too.

shockwave has a poopy alt-mode but a bad ass robot mode

megatron is about equal on both though highly out of scale in alt-mode

so there you go. both are great figures with their own flaws, both look fantastic in robot mode

Three stores- 2 Targets and 1 Walmart- to find just 1 Shockwave. If he's hard to find, grab him first. I grabbed him. I like Meegs too, so I'll get him next. Saw a lot of him on the shelves.

Up to you, bro. I'd say Megatron because he's more seen and you'll get a chance to obtain him later on, but Shockwave seems to be a fan favorite right now. Redundancy: It's up to you.

Why do you need our opinion? Everyone has different tastes. I am not going to waste my time giving you reasons why you should buy something. I will, however, tell you which one I would buy. Shockwave, hands down.

I've got them both and I'd have to say Megatron. He's got a better transformation and he looks menacing as hell with that cloak. Shockwave's articulation is a bit limited and because of that he falls just short of being awesome. You can never quite get him in the poses you want.

This makes no sense.

It depends what you like. If you hate monkey arms you may prefer Megatron. If you prefer 'realistic' alt modes you may prefer Megatron.

To me, Shockwave looks as though he's constantly taking in a huge breath. I'm hoping I can kitbash that out of him, as well as fix his monkey arms.

Megatron was my initial favorite but just having picked up Shockwave I am liking them equally.

Megatron in alt mode is bad ass. Shockwaves bot mode is also bad ass so, yeah, you're gonna need to get both.

Although I am usually a huge Shockwave fan, I would have to say Megatron. DOTM Shox reminds me too much of G1 Skullgrin, with an altmode which is very obviously a poorly folded robot.

Anyway, I've got both and I'd have the say Megatron is the better figure HOWEVER Shockwave is currently really rare, while Megatron is everywhere you go. If you want to get Shockwave without having to wait for his wave to get mass-released and Megatron whenever, I'd say go Shockwave first.
But figure wise, I prefer Megatron by far. Awesome cape, awesome bot-mode, awesome alt-mode and a nice Mechtech weapon. Shockwave suffers from treads visible in bot-mode being inaccurate to his movie self, the arm cannon, while awesome, makes his arm pretty much only go into two poses without unplugging the hose and his vehicle mode looks pretty crap. If rarity doesn't bother you, I'd go Megs.

Megatron!! fantastic figure.

Heaps of detail. A bit small but they pumped out so much detail on him that it makes up for it and the transformation is good.

You can get some very sinister poses with him aswell. Megs FTW.

His shoulders are up top in G1 as well. I's accurate for the most part in that sense.

Buy a shockwave if you can see him. Amazing toy he is. megatron is good, but to me he looks dull b/c of his color scheme
