gotta say, i'm diggin the new cyberverse...

growing up with g1 in the 80s, getting the mini figures was just as enjoyable as the larger bots.. they had their characters & place in the universe, & size wasn't important.. you could pack a lot of fun into little bots...

i love armada minicons (goofy li'l buggers ;) ), but this affection really manifested itself again with legends class figures for me, particularly cybertron series.. detail & artculated, scaled down versions of their deluxe, voyager, even leader class counterparts... just some rockin little bots :-D

then, after the 1st movie hit, i felt the molds took a nosedive as far as detail & transform process. sure, i picked up the 25th anniversary hound, jazz, wheelie, etc, but they all seemed very underdone in their complexity compared to their predecessors...

but i think the new cyberverse series has addressed a lot of that, with remolds of some of the RotF legends having a little more articulation, & especially the new larger 'commander class' cyberverse, mini-bots are back in force! great detail & transform for the scale, with articulation to rival at least deluxe class, & even compatability with weapons using the newer clip system... seems the little bots are trying to be taken more seriously!

and as far as characters to be revisited in mini format-- powerglide! he just hit me as such an awesome choice to do, pays so much homage to his g1 form, & just kicks ass to boot :-D

I'm going secondary in my collecting with Cyberverse. I have to agree. Powerglide plays a whole lot with the Mech Tech bots. He's one of the few cyberverse figures that don't have Mech Tech figures.

I'm getting Powerglide on first sight.

One Question: Where does his scale reach. Is he taller, the same size, or shorter than Cyberverse Prime? Just asking.

Poor Blackout. Even being so much closer, he's still the smallest guy.

Out of curiosity, your Powerglide seems underarmed. What happened to his other weapon?

i just left out the gear to keep the comparison shot a little less cluttered... not quite an action shot, more like a police lineup :))

edit: did you mean missile pods in the 1st shots? he only came with one :(

K thanks. Thought he was bigger or something. Yeah, he'd work great with my other Autobot Mech Tech Figures.

I have cyberverse Sentinel and Optimus. Then I have most the legion figures (excluding crowbar)

But the weapons they come with are awesome. it'd be cool if the legion ones came with guns. :-(

I have Prime (which I got with the Preview Pack, so I'm good), Ironhide, and Megatron. The Weapons on Prime and Ironhide are beast, but Megatron's look like big tubes with sticks of garbadge on them.

i love ironhide's cannons-- clip system, 'combinable', & a little spinny minigun-like turret on the end. i'm with gyrotron on megs' weapons, tho.

starscream (legion class) with orbital assault carrier comes with a missile launching weapon that can be held by starscream (& he has proper elbows! yayy!), as well as be used by larger bots, plus compatible with mechtech. bumblebee's battle station comes with wings for him (wonder if we'll see anything like that in the movie?), also has a hand that can hold a weapon, but doesn't come with one.

defintely another area of improvement on legends class, letting them be geared up like their larger versions :)

Do love these guys, but I bought a Cyberverse SS w/ assault carrier and it is beyond loose. of the three modes it changes into, it barely holds one mode. I'm returning it tomorrow for a new one. if that one is bad, I'll just return it and get voyager Ironhide.

I took mine back and got a replacement. Much better. But the way there packaged, you couldn't really see that it is loose or not until you take it out due to the way the plastic molded packaging holds it up.

You know, I got OP and megatron for my son and was surprised that they are pretty cool. And he loves them. I bought Powerglide for myself today and I like it much better than I thought I would. I think i;m going to at least grab Sentinel and blackout now too.

The difference is that the smaller Megs face is more detailed in paint apps, and his face is too. the battlebase meg's face has blue in it, while the smaller megs is much more accurate. The smaller Megs also has a gun that attaches to him, the battle base megs does not unless you tranform his whole trailer.

Then ill keep mine, anyway, its only a minor deal. Although i still will get blastwave. For trailer.
