Human Alliance Tailpipe and Autobot Whirl Found at Retail

Human Alliance basics Tailpipe and Autobot Whirl have been spotted at retail. These were found by me at a Wal-Mart in Wichita, KS. Tailpipe comes with minicon partner Pinpointer and also Sergeant Noble. Autobot Whirl comes with Major Sparkplug. These are wave 2 HA basics and were not expected until the end of June. It's time to start hunting if you are interested in these two figures. Be sure to post your personal findings in the Sighting forum to let your fellow collectors know what's out there.

Tailpipe & Pinpointer

Tailpipe and Pinpointer have been partners for ages, and have learned to love roughing it. Teamed up with Sergeant Noble, a soldier who has spent his career in the wildest places on earth. They make an unstoppable fighting team deep in the trackless wilderness.

Autobot Whirl prefers to observe what occurs around him and base his strategy on the information he gathers. His human partner Major Sparkplug agrees, having spent much of his life behind enemy lines and deep undercover.

Comes with a targetmaster.... guess I'm going to have to dip my proverbial toe into this line now.

The Targetmaster might make me cave and grab this. Whirl is pretty cool, too.

PASS!

HA has been shelf warming out by me since they first came out for ROTF. Hell, in the clearance isles in one of my Walmart's still have ROTF HA toys. I wish Hasbro would cut their losses on this sub line and just stop it all together, cuz these toys suck!

you've got to be kidding me.. the human alliance line is great.. well, the normal line is. not the basics.

bumblebee is a great figure. skids is great (if i ever found mudflap, he'd be great) sideswipe was good, jazz was absolutely phenomenal, barricade was extremely awesome, and roadbuster looks great.

the problem with the human alliance line is the fact that every wave has to have bumblebee in it.

in my area there is not one old human alliance figure. toys r us has them.. but that's only because target and walmart had them in stock WAY before toys r us.

I can't see anyone knocking these ... or ANY of the past 15 years "scout" class.

Because of the use of ball joints, they seem to be the best designed and posable figures of each line, to me. Seems like the larger figures all get shafted because of their gimmicks, lack of mobility, etc. (like Armada Megatron's lack of knees)

Remembering the previous lines, LOTS of my favorite figures have been scout size... Energon Strongarm and Skyblast, Cybertron Landmine, Scattorshot, Armorhide... even the movie line with Dirt Boss, Deep Dive, etc.

These molds for DOTM are among the best designs, head sculpts and transformations to me. Really thinking hard about buying them, even if they're all I buy of the new movie line.

You have to be kidding me right about HA Sideswipe???? Are we talking the same HA SS that has 80% of a car on his back!!! Sideswipe has to be the worst out of the HA line-up and second would be Barricade, mainly because of his hips that lack of articulation. BB, well I'm not gonna go there and HA Jazz is perfecto i think. HA Skidz and Mudflap are a waste! Didnt care for the characters on film or the toys so that saves me money right there. =;

I'm quite of the opposite opinion. I'm loving the MASK-masters vibe these guys are giving off, and appreciate the large amount of play value for money that appears to be on offer. The original, big HA figures didn't interest me at all.

I agree with Craggy, I was skipping all of the HA line this time around, and I had put most of my HA stuff into storage.

With the exception of Jazz, which is an amazing figure, I prefer the deluxe versions of all the characters, with Sideswipe being the most disappointing. That, and I never did find a Mudflap, which, in the end, did noting but save me $$$$.

But these basics are great! I don't know, or care if they fit in with the movie or not, they are just super fun little robot toys!

They have so many moving parts that it is easy and fun to come up with multiple fan modes for them. They put the fun back into toy collecting.

Like it or not some people actually like Sideswipe...Face the fact that some bad toys are like-able by certain types of people okay?
Barricade was actually the second BEST not the second worst o.O...I have seen alot of reviews of the guy and all of them says he is awesome.
Jazz...well you already complimented on him so yeah by your word he is "perfecto".
BB is awesome btw.I own him and I can tell you his articulation, paint apps, details are just fricking amazing in both modes. So what if he have bumper knee? I actually like that and some people do too.
Skids and Mudflap are AMAZING btw...I glad they make it and I can tell you it's not a "waste".
Roadbuster seems to be looking awesome so far with alot of weapon details in alt mode and awesome non-kibbly bot mode

So you see...Like it or not HA was one of the best line out of the 6 main lines o.O...Cause out of all the figures that have been release in the line only ONE was really hated to death and that is Sideswipe. But like I said even some people actually LOVE the guy to death too.

HA basics however is pure BS. I saw the figures at retail and realize they are FRICKIN small >.>...The weapon mode looks poopy and unneeded...The transformation sequence are boring...the bot mode is god awful...Seriously if I ever buy one please kill me.

Sounds like one of those redundant LOLCat.

Small figurz are small.

Yup. Small figures can haz been basic-sized since Beast Wars. And they're still basic sized.

as far as human alliance sideswipe is concerned... if you remove the two screws that hold on the windshield roof, and hood you'll be able to put those pieces aside while in robot mode. those screws are unnecessary when transforming him back because of how solidly everything hold together. i don't remind setting aside the backpack, especially when doing so makes the entire figure 10 times better.

Some people like HA Sideswipe.
Some people don't like the HA Sideswipe.
Same goes for the deluxe figures.
It's all a matter of opinion.
No one's opinion should matter to you but your own.
If someone has a different view than yours, then surely they must burn in hell. :KREMZEEK:

personally, I didn't care too much for the larger HA figures. The HA Basics, however, I've been completist collecting. I spent a lot of time in my youth playing with MASK toys, and I looove Scout class TFs.

I did buy HA Jazz on clearance afterwards. He is awesome, but he can't wield the HA basics.

I think the HA Basics are pretty good and Whirl looks awesome in his new mini gun mode. I was impressed with the original line of HA's but due to being quite pricey and missing most when they went on clearance it was a pain. HA Mudflap is sheer greatness Skids is kinda iffy I had a chance to get the DOTM version today but at $35 he just didn't seem awesome enough so I picked up voyager DOTM Megs instead.

I actually picked up HA Mudflap for $10 on Christmas eve day on a random jaunt to walmart, strange thing was the sale was only on for that day. I knew I should have picked up HA BB aswell at that price *kicks self*

I'm getting Whirl and Tailpipe. Whirl's weapon mode looks awesome, might have to get two or more to outfit some of the larger Autobots.

I love the HA basic line. I have Sandstorm (great robot mode, good solid alt mode, plus a fair weapon mode and cool fan-made mech mode); Icepick (good weapon and alt modes, fair robot); and Backfire (weak robot, excellent weapon mode, good alt). More please!
