Stuck Transforming Crankcase back to Alt Mode

Dear all,

Having enjoyed Crankcase on my desk for a few weeks now I decided it was time to put him away and transform him back to alt mode.

Except I'm stuck at Step 15. It looks like you move his dreads back, and it sure looks like there is a pivot for each side of his dreads. Except that mine won't budge and I'm afraid to break the locks off.

DID he in fact have his dreads up in the bonnet? I don't remember moving them by swivelling them around when I took him out of package and transformed him to bot mode.

If there's been another thread on this, would appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

While there is a swivel, at least on all three of mine it's far too tight to chance moving. You can easily though move the dreads in towards each other so they cross so they place right beneath the torso. That's how mine are and were out of the package.

Thanks that's how I remembered it. But trying to do involves a bit of a squeeze. You closed everything up nice and tight with no stress on the dreads?

There will be sort of some stress, just make sure they crisscross, and it's not anything that's going to break them as they're just being compressed by the torso bit and the legs. They're not being pulled from behind the head.

Step 15 should be ignored. The dreads go under the chest plate. When you've got all the chest and side panels lined up you have to crush it all together to make the car, it won't stay together unless you squeeze everything together at the same time.

I haven't transformed Crankcase in a while, but you just put the dreadlocks in front of the face as far as I remember.

Thanks for all the responses guys! I did it! And it looks safe. Time will tell... in six months I unpack everything at my new place. Hopefully the dreads don't fall off as I pull down the chest piece at that time! lol! :D
