DOTM Skyhammer Situation

So i got maybe the best DOTM toy out right now next to leader Ironhide is Skyhammer. He was awesome to play with until i tried to transform him.

The instructions (updated to say you cannot remove the propellers) says to push the propellers in to rotate his chest plate. However the correct way to rotate the plate is pull the rotor out, then twist. I pushed it in and forced it until it got into position, then it twisted back. I took it apart to see the peg in the rotor warped so bad it stays crooked on his chest. I want to return it keeping his awesome mechtech gun and gatling pods but im afraid of not finding another. Should i return it, barring the crooked chest? ( it transforms fine now, but it lays crooked in his chest) or keep it and just ignore the problem?

Skyhammer was the first DotM toy I bought, so I can agree verily on his awesomeness.

As for finding him, he's becoming far easier to come across as time passes, just like Shockie, so I wouldn't worry about finding a second one.

Returning the figure while knowingly keeping the 5mm weapons? That's a moral issue that I personally can't condone, but if you can live with yourself, it's your choice.

Well that's good to know. Besides I kept the gun out so I could play with it. I put it back in the box because after messing with it the spring loved itself into the gears and won't spring int the blade. Thank you for the reassurance an it's awesomeness and location sir.

The instructions say to remove the rotor, but mine won't come out. I'm afraid to pull too hard and break it. Does it really come out, or are the instructions wrong?

They're wrong. There are apparently two sets of instructions. I'll be posting scans of mine tonight (the corrected ones).
