Can anyone help me identfy this '84 Takara robot?

Now I know pictures would help but the less said about my camera the better so here's what he looks like.

He's about the size of a Mini-Con.

He actually has working Mini-Con uh, holes I guess you call them. He can connect to the Unicron Trilogy lines.

His head, arms and legs are all painted a deep blue while his chest seems to be unpainted metal. No other paint is on it.

Needless to say for his size, his knees and elbows do not bend.

On his back is "Takara 1984 LTD. Japan."

Does any one have any idea what/who he is? Or do I need to borrow some one's camera to take pictures of him?

Erm, knowing what his alt mode is would probably help too.

He doesn't have one. He's just a robot. Guess I'll have to go beat up one of my co-workers so I can use their camera.

Oh my gosh,I must be having some kind of psychic episode, cause I had a hunch that it wasn't Transformers, but that it might be related to Microman. So I go to Microforever.com, check out the Microheritige section, and "Blockbots" catches my eye. The pic looks very close to what your describing, and it said they were released in '84, so I click it, and well, I think I'm right:

If I am, I guess I must be lucky, cause I had no idea of these guys before.

HOLY CRAP. That's him. Stupid Microman. You don't belong in my TF collection! To the mircrowave with you!

Technicly I don't think Block-Bots are Microman figures. They are a sub-line also created by Takara.

But if he goes into the microwave(which I highly doubt it will), then shouldn't Soundwave, Megatron, Reflector, Blaster, and Soundwave's tapes also go? Cause they had they're beginings in Microman too ya know.

So should I stand him in my collection or should I just throw him back in the toybox with Thundercats One-Armed-Jackalman and MoTU Naked-Faker?

I did that Last year when I found a Wheelie from my childhood.

Obviously that was the only proper thing to do. Well done.

I seriously reccomend eBay.

If you don't cherish Blockman, someone else will.

Plus it just might fatten your wallet as well.

The more you know...

Yes, market it as something rare and hard-to-find. You'll be guaranteed some poor idiot will spend an exorbitant (sp?) amount of money on it. I saw a Kronoform going for $200 the other day.

I never got the Wheelie hate as much as everyone else, it seems. Sure, he's a little annoying, but so is Blurr. In fact, I'd almost say Blurr's worse, cuz at least Wheelie's young and innocent, and doesn't know better - plus, he's Grimlock's little buddy! Blurr's just plain annoying. Think of how much someone would pay on eBay for an original Wheelie...unless he's all busted up. In which case, fire away!!
