Masterpieces Wanted For Future Releases

I was hoping that Takara would stop doing stupid re-molds,re-paints,and just plain laziness in their recent Masterpiece toy-line. Here is a list of toys I will look forward into the Future......

MP Ultra Magnus-Not ANOTHER stupid repaint,I want his own unique transformation that automatically goes into his "armored mode" like in the G1 series. Oh and the trailer must be fully articulated and can hold more than 2-3 deluxe class transformers cars.

MP-Galvatron-I know many are itching for him and I can't seem to get over the G1's Chunkiness and the new gens having him be a tank as opposed to the morew G1 cannon mode.

MP-Devastator-Boy is this going to be a tough one. Trying to fing a way to make 6 fully articulated Constructicons with visually apealing alt and robot modes while trying to get them to combine without use of kibble.

MP-Metroplex-This guy is a huge citybot an will be easier to pull off than the one above as he has less to engineer. But the price tags in the ones from Devastator to this will be obscenely HUGE!!!!! Nowhere near as crazy as........

MP-Fortess Maximus!!!!!!- Now the original toy was HUGE and it had an 100 dollar price tag at the time that only went higher and higher as time went on. Imagine if he was scaled in Masterpiece to add to the bulk and the many citybot and headnmaster gimmicks that must be done. Engineering-wise it is easier than Devastator but costs may skyrocket in ludicrous amounts. But wasn't that the reason the Masterpiece toy-line existed? To go above and BEYOND their orginal G1 counterparts?

It would never happen (at least in the form I'm thinking of) but a Masterpiece Jetfire would really float my boat. Shockwave, too, but way things are they'd probably turn him ugly neon orange.

We had Grimlock (All Hail.....) so I want the other Dinobots. I'll settle for Slag and Sludge if 4 looks too ambitious to HasTak.

And why not Soundwave? Make him comparable to Megatron (in scale, not in spindliness) and make the cassettes full size to go with it.

Shockwave and Jetfire would be great but I somehow doubt the effort needed to ensure the license issues were tied up would be forthcomming.

Roadbuster.

Was playing with my G1 version the other day and couldn't help but think how awesome he'd be on a larger scale.

Galvatron seems pretty obvious now with rodimus.
Soundwave is one I could get behind as well.
I'd like to see an original mold for ultra magnus too.

Galvatron would be a perfect choice for next new mold (there are tons of obvious repaints that will come), and also:
Springer
Ratchet
Powermaster Prime
Scorponok

EDIT: That Unicron was beautiful allready, and it'll cost only 60$? Sign me up for 3 of them.

1.Which ones are impossible in my list?

2.Soundwave is good and Jetfire could have Takara asking for the VF1S Valkryire for the mold.

3.I may have been beaten to it but yeah Unicron and Primus are already good and taken care of.

The other Dinobots I don't know about but Astro train with mini-figs to contain in his trunk, that would be awesome!!!! I wonder why Takara's Masterpiece toyline have so little actual figures as opposed to re-issues and repaints? Don't get me started on how ripped off I felt about Ultra Magnus!!!!

because they're a bit more costly to develop and produce than your average deluxe class, and carry a much higher price point, that even if they did have half a dozen ready to go to production and get sold, would mean they'd need to stagger the releases.

Of course, with the "average" deluxe Generations toys being so good these days, there's also the question (in my mind at least) of whether the extra size is worth it for most characters, when toys like RTS Jazz and Gen Drift can be made at a much more affordable level.

G1 Bumblebee - I know its another Bumblebee, but hes one of the most iconic characters of G1 and really deserves a new figure.

G1 Galvatron.

And a non-shit Megatron would be nice. I hate the head on the current one.

I'll debate your choices & offer my opinion on each.

(1) We already have 2 ultra magnus toys that do both of this. the titanium 6 inch G-1 ultra Magnus & the RID super sized toy. these 2 toys were great I don't think theirs a extreme need for it as it happened twice.

Trying to pull off a masterpiece styled G-1 Ultra magnus like you described would be too hard to accompish & costly.

(2)I agree we need a G-1 style MP Galvatron that looks like the 1986 toy/cartoon with a laser canon alt mode.

(3)I'd prefer they did predaking. Devestator got so many updated homages toys. lets give someone else a chance.

(4)the masterpiece toy budget & resources isn't their to do supreme sized TF toys.

Takara seems to be down sizing the Masterpiece TF toys to 9.5 to 8 inches which put these MP toys at around leader size or ultra size.
I don't think takara will go back up & increase the MP TF height to supreme size which is around 15+ inches tall in robot mode

Takara will never make & Release supreme sized Masterpieced city-formers or combiners. because the asking price would be well over $500 dollars. not that many people can afford this thus won't buy it.

Hasbro has a hard time trying to find store retailers in america/canada/uk/austraila to stock the previous MP TF toys that only cost under $65. Their is no way hasbro's store retailers would stock on shelves a TF toy that cost over $200 or even $125. WHY CREATE SOMETHING IF NO ONE WILL STOCK IT ON THEIR STORE SHELVES.

3,4 & 5 ideas seem like they'd work best in the main kid lines that often get supreme sized toys. like the movie verse,AEC,Animated & so forth.

It has, hasbro is releasing the takara 2010 unicron as a masterpiece toy & it's being exclusively sold by amazon.com.

the armada unicron toy. did have a extremly high sculpt & was very poseable. so hasbro labeling it as masterpiece in 2011 isn't wrong.

Here's my top 5 Masterpiece TF choices I want to see get made & released by both hasbro/takara.

FIRST OFF: When doing these list we all need to be realistic. Takara will never ever make a supreme sized MP TF toy because it'll cost over $500 & stores nor hasbro will stock it.

SECOND OFF: Takara seems done with making MP TF toys that are 12 to 14 inches tall. Takara seems to now be down sizing the MP TF toys to around 9.5 to 8 inches tall. which puts all future MP TF toys at around AEC Leader sized height.

Here's my top 5 choices & why I picked them.

(1) Masterpiece G-1 styled 1986 Galvatron. That looks like his 1986 toy/cartoon designs & transforms into a laser canon alt mode.
I'd like the toy to be around 9.5 inches tall in robot height.

WHY? Because they did rodimus prime & he needs a nemesis leader.
anyways galvatron is a faction leader & this seems what the MP TF toys are all about. by doing leaders & high ranking characters.

(2) Sixshot,leader sized.

WHY? because both takara & hasbro can swap out the 2 heads & repaint the toy into greatshot, quickswitch,Rid Megatron & maybe even Brave shadow maru.

(3)Masterforce overlord, 2 voyager size alt modes that merge to form a leader sized robot mode. maybe squeeze in a city mode. leader size

Why? because G-1 Japanese TF toys need some love too.

(4)Masterpiece Blitzwing. give the toy 2 actual realitically styled military alt modes. leader size

Why? it can get a new head & repainted into flywheels & maybe overlord.

Let me pass down the words/ summary from the folks at TFW2005:
- MP-11 is a seeker with accurate g1 bot mode but alternate mode will cause some tranfans to be pissed off...may not be F15. Speculations seemed to be F-14 Tomcat.
- TTomy has planned up to MP-15.
- No Dinobots at least not for MP11-15.
- MP Ultra Magnus is on TTomy agenda and will not just a white Magnus repaint. Will he release between MP12-15, source will not say. All clue will be seen on MP-10.

My absolute dream come true, that I would buy no matter how broke I was:

Masterpiece/Music/Device label Soundwave. Make him a working stereo, and make his cassettes portable MP3 players, that can be played when inserted into him. Sell him with a 5 gig Buzzsaw, and then sell the other cassettes separately at higher gig levels. That IS my dream.

Sweet!!!! A Masterpiece Magnus that isn't just some crappy repainted garbage!!! I know that Takara is cutting back on costs thanks to our broken economy but I still would love to be surprised by some Masterpieces to be released that came from my list and the demands of so many Transformer fans behind me.

If this is the "REMY" that runs that awesome site, then I believe anything you say because i've seen you get stuff early & you appear to have connections.

I find it kinda odd, that Takara would reveal & know 3 to 4 years ahead of MP-11 THRU MP 15. Doesn't each new mold MP TF toy take at least a full year to create.

It was always my dream that Takara would SPEED UP their creating/release of their MP TF toys. so who knows perhaps this is happening & we'll get a newer MP TF toy every 4 months. we are getting MP-10 7 Months after MP-09 came out. We technically do get all those Takara movie verse leader sized MP TF toy back to back to back. So I suspose it possible to do.

It is kinda hard to STOMACH that MP-11 will revist the starscream seeker jets. most want MP-11 to be a MP character we've never received. most want MP-11 to be Galvatron,Soundwave, shockwave.

I kinda only believe this rumor info when Hasbro or Takara step in & post some official info about it on the internet/fan comnventions or magazines.

Sorry to disappoint you, you are thinking of the great Remy Rhodis from Hong Kong. I wish I had his toys too.

By the way, what I commented earlier are words from the folks at TFW2005. I'm just passing the information along for fellow transfans to discuss about. Please take the whole thing as rumor.
