Seriously. I think they could pull it off quite well.

They now have the molds to do some cool stuff:

Marlboor Wheeljack: Generationa Wheeljack mold
Blue Bluestreak: Universe Bluestreak mold
Red Tracks: RTS Tracks mold

Those are just a few that came to mind, but I think this would be amazing to finally have Diaclone enter the Botcon world.

While it's a cool idea, I don't think it's a good idea for a full set because there wouldn't be (m)any new head molds. IMO the Club can be very creative at times (to the discouragement of some) and a Diaclone line is kinda straight foreward really.

Don't get me wrong, I'll get it with the rest of the rabid fanws, but I think they can do something far more creative.

No thanks. I appreciate the history of the brand and the part Diaclone plays in it. Early G1 is some of my favorite stuff ever. However, I simply don't care about such simple repaints for premium priced figures. I'd rather get new decos or characters that have a character history already.

No, they should just slowly release diaclone repaints in the main line, most of them are decent enough they'd sell. Similar to how they've done gobot homages.

I could be really happy with a set like this.

Wheeljack could have a head remold as could the already "in-Universe" characters that meet/greet/fight the Diaclone characters.

And I still say a blue Classics Prime would be great to stick it to the KO companies.

I think they should continue homages to gobots and diaclone and other things, but botcon exclusives should be directly related to transformers.

Yes! They could remold the head slightly since the Marlboor mold had a different head.

Also, in regards to gobots... This set could very easily Have RTS Wreck Gar with a remolded head for Cy- Kill.

I know a lot of people want to see the creativity of new club retooled heads, but I think the simplicity of this idea is what makes it unique. The souvenir add-on sets can get all the retooled heads, but I'd like a boxset that focused on the the roots of Transformers through the magic of Diaclone.

I'm not in favor. I'd much rather get obscure G1 characters or even Gobot redecos than Diaclone.

How about a Diakron box set acknowledging that brief time when Takara tried to sell their versions directly in America.

Red "Sunstreaker" based on the Universe deluxe mold (yeah, it's gonna look a lot like the Sideswipe version, but so what, it's gonna have a Sunstreaker head and some other color differences)

Black "Ironhide" based on Energon Tow Line (sled is important, and the Universe mold was kinda crummy)

Blue "Trailbreaker" based on the Trailcutter RTS legend (since they haven't done a deluxe)

Could they use the movie molds that havent appeared in the movie?
Or maybe a War for Cybertron/Theme.
Armada 10th anniversary?

Rodimus Prime,Using the year 2005 Cybertron leader sized Megatron toy mold with a new head sculpt.

Sixshot,Using the year 2000 Rid Gigatron toy mold. with a new robot head sculpt & a new beast wolf head sculpt.

Jhiaxus,using the classics 2.0 ultra sized powerglide toy mold with a new head sculpt.

If we have Animated Shattered Glass, someone is going to get maimed in a hideous fashion.

I would love another SG set. There's a bunch of stuff we could get from that that would be amazing.

That said, my friend and I voted for Animated Beast Wars(and I don't even LIKE Beast Wars, I just want more Animated). We even spent an hour building our dream box for the survey area on what you'd wanna see in the box.

I like Animated, but it really does need to go away. it's had it's run and now it's time for it to be left alone.

I don't even see the need for an Animated SG Prime after the whole Animated Motormaster thing. He's basically SG Prime with a square head.

I like animated, but repaints in animated really dont work.
The characters are stylized and meant to really represent that character. You know like megatron was made to look like a big imposing leader type, just because he's a helicopter, you cant paint him green and make him springer. That...and the big decepticon symbol on his chest.
Animated needs new molds for new character, and since they're not getting that, time to move away from it.

I'm not a big fan of the movie universe, but something that might be neat is taking the classics/universe/generations/RTS molds and put them in movie colors.
Black ironhide, silver jazz, optimus with flames, tattoo'd starscream.
Alot of those molds are just so good anyway, they'd be great to see in new colors.

Aye, that was 1st on my list. SG was the next choice, though I don't think they mentioned if it would be Animated SG or not, probably not so as to build upon their previous line.

We'll have to agree to disagree, as the series set up pretty early on that Cybertronians(at least Autobots) were protoformed to standard chassis styles(see Bumblebee/Wasp/Cliffjumper and Ratchet/Ironhide) that were identical in appearance other than colors and the occasional head. I wouldn't be surprised if post-Megatron's arrest those that shared chassis styles with Optimus' team would get their alt-modes changed to the earth modes, too.

Derrick J. Wyatt and Marty Isenberg have stated that the events of the Botcon comic were written to tie into the stuff they were working on for the 4th season before it was cancelled.
