OK quick poll who has started getting DOTM figures?

Have any of you got Voyager class Optimus Prime & Megatron?

Have you had issues with these figures?

For me Megatron is fine as a robot but in truck mode there's little free rolling on the wheels, but this isn't important and it's fine as a display piece.

I have a slight issue with Optimus Prime too. The roof panels have 4 tabs that they tab into (2 on each side) but they really don't tab into those very well. I'm debating modding this slightly to make it fit better. On mine it's all together as a truck but there's annoying gaps instead of the roof tabbing in nice and snug..

OK anyone else had any issues?

My Megatron is totally fine. Only his right shoulder joint is a little loose. Didn't notice much in his truck mode and it seems rolling fine.

My son has Prime but they are currently out of town (which my wife bought him there so I haven't had a chance to touch him yet). My wife told me she has trouble transforming him but she even has trouble transforming Activators. I will take a look once they get back home.

I have them both (got them in the same week, setting me back €64 or $93! Ouch!) and don't have any real problems with either of them. What I usually do with Prime's roof is do it last. With everything else lined up properly it should become a bit easier.

That's more or less how I did mine........ Did the legs first then did the top half. And had problems even lining up those front pieces on the nose of the truck... But did manage it after much fiddling. It's those damn grey pegs that have to go into the hole on the red part. Anyway yeah still had a little trouble with the roof panels.

At least the Optimus figure didn't have an annoying crutch piece you have to swing down to get right. Might try again on the weekend and see if working the joints loosens up the figure a bit more.

i got them both, they r my first DOTM figures. megs is fine but prime there is a slight problem with the side pannles in his alt mode. they dont want to connect to the roof all the way, they are kinda pointed out to the side at an angle. but i can live with it

I've got Megs, and he's a great figure. I really like that the cab can turn independently of the trailer. Nice touch!

I would like to get Prime, but I'm not so happy with those huge fuel tanks... They just look too overwhelming, and the Takara one looks so much better without the funny heat panels... but I don't want to shell out the cash for importing it and the trailer!

Sorry to reply to an old thread but ooh fun and games.

No idea how this happened but I was changing the Optimus Prime figure back into a robot and when you fold the blue part of the legs over to make the foot on the right leg I had the peg lined up with the hole but when I connected them the front part of the foot flew off...Now it was easy enough to snap back into place but why would that happen now when it didn't happen before?

Same here on all counts. His loose shoulder is easy to fix. Need advice?

Both are fine. Prime is very awesome indeed.

i finally figured out a pose so megatrons head sits nice in his hood al try and post it later.

Both of mine are fine. I have a ritual I perform with each new figure I get. I do a visual inspection overall, carefully trim any excess flashing with a hobby knife, and use a small hobby screwdriver set to carefully check and tighten all screws. Careful not to over tighten. This usually insures tight fitting panels, and no loose joints.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. I might try that too.

I had heard that, but there was a post a little while back stating that Hasbro was ending the movie line at the end of this year and that one wouldn't be made. Just wanted Hasbro to know it would do some good to make one.

I heard this as well, and DAMMIT they had better release all the DOTM Figures before we get into prime, Because as cool as prime is, I don't mind waiting a little while.

I actually LOVE the DOTM Megatron figure. It's the only version of Megatron that I have really liked. Now imagine that in a leader version WITH the tanker part.....

awesomeness would ensue if they made that.

The only thing I don't like is the whole "cloak of shame" like WTF you're a robot you don't need shame.

WE NEED a Leader Class Megatron WITH THE PETROL TANKER BIT... Not just the front

I personally think the Deluxe class is better than the DOTM Voyager Optimus. It also scales well with Megatron and other deluxes and voyagers.
