it looks like they do have magnets on their feet. no? are my eyes playing tricks on me.

anyway, if they aren't magnetic they the aren't Diaclones. take a look at the first Diaclone link down below in my collection. there's a pretty nice and up close photo of one with the Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

Takara made 6 different kinds of Diaclone drivers including 3 Insecticon types. but, there were definitely a bunch of bootlegs made back in the day. you can usually tell the difference, as a lot of those bootlegs were pretty crappy quality.

good luck!

Will they stick to a magnet? Even if they're demagnetized they should still stick to a magnet if they were ever magnets to begin with.

As a note, even if the feet were magnets it wouldn't be a guarantee. I got a seeker knockoff from another kid back in 85 (had to give him my legit Laserbeak for it after the canopy broke in my bookbag when he lent it to me, why he thought a tape for a jet was a good enough trade, I dunno) and it came with a knockoff driver which had magnetic feet.

About the only difference between it and the legit one that came with my Diakron blue "Trailbreaker" was the color of plastic used for limbs, but since these things came in multiple colors anyway, that wouldn't have been very telling.
