Well, with all these Transformer sightings at TJM, ROSS and Marshalls, I decided to stop by a local Marshalls the other day and i saw SB SS and never saw one before and the color scheme looks awesome and the bot mode looks good with the colors too, but from the pics, he has the half of a car on his back, which i think there's a fix for and for the price of $15.00 for a $31.00 toy you cant beat that either. Whats everybody's opinion on this HA figure?

Great alt mode, mediocre at best bot mode, decent enough transform. Since you don't have the mold already, I suppose it could be worth the purchase. Not a terrible fig, just not a real good one. Whether or not to buy it probably depends on your collection, though. In my collection it probably woulda sat in alt mode with my Alternators...but if I ever have the space/desire for a movie display again, I'd probably use the HA figs in bot mode making a black Sideswipe pretty useless.

I'm just glad I saw the other stupid HA repaints before picking this one up, because I probably woulda gotten it at some point just for the sake of completing the line. Once I saw black BB & Skids, though, I realized that was never going to happen.

I think HA Sideswipe has an AWFUL bot mode. But if you really like the looks of the car mode and don't mind just leaving it displayed as such, it might be worth $15. Personally, I'd rather spend that $15 on a figure that looks good in both modes.

Let's be fair...no, it's not a 'good' bot mode, but from the same line it's still better than:

Rampage
Chromia
Arcee
Sideways
Blazemaster
Breakaway

It's only 'awful' because they did a much better job with the deluxe fig bot modes. On its own, it's mediocre at best... The sh*t above is AWFUL.

I think that the paint job in vehicle mode is absolutely beautiful, and that Sidearm Sideswipe could make a really bad@$$ Decepticon repainted in those colors. However, although I don't have the mold, I think the HA Sideswipe's robot mode looks rather like crap, and the blue and brown don't work very well on this version.

It's worth getting if you like detail. I have both and the robot modes have some great detailing on them. I especially like how you can lift up his mask to see his face. But other than that the robot modes are lacking. He's top heavy and always falls over. At least mine do. Basically he looks good from the front but the back is hideous. I'm displaying both of mine in car mode.

But for $15 bucks it's a pretty sweet deal.

IMO Mixmaster and sideways are awesome. (maybe it's just because it got them half-off at the end of ROTF XD)
