Whoa! Sentinel Prime Hidden Feature!

A friend of mine sent me this via text:
"Dude! Got this on net. Plg prmes sheld in 2 shldr n arm. Acid cnanon!"
Translation: "Dude! Got this info on the net. Plug Sentinel Prime's shield into his shoulder and arm. Acid Rust Cannon."
He damn sure was right. I kid you not, this has to be an intended feature. Has to be.
Still has the blaster sound effect, fits perfectly into the shoulder and forearm.
I didn't believe it until I tried it myself. It really is the Acid Rust Blaster, and it's been there all along.



As you can see, it really does work. Go figure.

not only that, but you also get 2 blaster sounds from him if you push his talk-button with the cannon on his shoulder

Yep. Also works on the neutered euro-version.

Been trying desperately hard to avoid spoilers of any sort. I'm probably better off avoiding these forums for the next two weeks till the 29th!

LMAO that's a loophole in Seibertron's spoiler feature. I just read the whole book and not give a crap about the spoilers...

I did find it odd that he only had a MechTech feature in vehicle mode...
guess he does really have a robot mode MechTech feature.

It puzzles me as to why Hasbro would omit this. I'd think it would be a selling point. I mean, it's a weapon, all TransFormers have weapons, so what's so special about this one that they hid it?
It's like it's a big secret or something. If some future Megatron came with the Matrix instead of Optimus, I'd say that's a spoiler to hide. This? Seems like utter laziness on their part and it wasn't included. I mean, that's the only thing I can come up with.
This thing is obvious, and it's not included? Stupid.

I had them the wrong way for a day or so as well, the the screw hole works as a mechtech point.

I guess so it's even cooler when you find a secret feature?
Sometimes I do think Hasbro adds features with the intention of not documenting them in the instructions or the package, like DOTM deluxe Bumblebee's and Sideswipe's shoulder weapon ports. I personally think it's kind of fun to discover hidden features.

I've got double acid rust cannons on mine, 1 deluxe BB weapons on each shoulder since they're too big for BB (IMO). I look at this way, SP's a huge firetruck, lots of room for hiding weapons in alt mode.
And if you put a mechtech weapon in the port above the right chest, push the gold chest button he says more than "I am Sentinel Prime"

Is that really a HIDDEN feature? The instructions show how to convert the shield into "acid blaster" mode. They show it attached to the alt mode, but it doesn't take much imagination to realize you can attach it to bot mode as well.

The fact that Sentinel's sounds change to make acid spraying sounds when its plugged in a certain way is the hidden feature.
It makes my Leader Ironhide feel awkward.

I see. I didn't realize that's what that sound was supposed to be. It makes the same sound if ANYTHING is plugged into that port, be it a MechTech weapon or a Human Alliance Basic figure in weapon mode.
