Generations Iron hide

IS NOW MINE! My wife snuck behiend my back and was able to get him off of ebay for a meere 21 dollars shipping and all.
What a great figure. The only criticisim I have is the pale blue they used to paint his face and various other little parts of him. Were that blue to be replace by silver I think he would be perfect.
It never fails to amaze me how efficently the creators have engeniered these figures to make a smooth transition from a toon perfect bot to (in most cases) a toon pefrect vehicle. They truely are amazing.
So is ratchet just a repaint of ironhide with a new head? In the toon color and head shape are the only differances so Im guessing that they would follow suit with the figures.
I am so lucky to have a wife that not only understands my need to collect these figures but takes an active roll in my hobby. Anyone else have a wife/husband that enjoys toy hunting and buying with them?

It's Seibertron. Cybertron is the Transformers home planet. Ain't that hard...

We still prefer calling the figures by the name of their original lines, since more than one character has appeared in more than one Classics-themed line. ;) Just a heads-up. Examples:

Classics Starscream vs. Universe Starscream
Classics Bumblebee vs. RtS Bumblebee
Universe Warpath vs. Generations Warpath

Then there's the extra confusion when you factor in the other lines with same name, and characters that appear in both. Such as
Universe Ratchet

and Universe Ratchet

Image

Different lines years apart,, same name, same character, very different figure.

So you see, its nothing personal against you, its just that its easier to immediately identify the figure you are referring to, if we know the actual line.

Quit being so picky it get annoying. You make plenty of mistakes yourself as do we all. Especially the whole condescending schtick you got going.

That's great. It is awesome to have a wife who will do those kind of things for you. He's a great figures, except for the all the many panel lines in alt mode, but still a solid figure. I am missing Ratchet myself and still kick myself for not picking him up when I had a chance.

I'm not hating, bro. :P
Like I said, I'm picky. It's called personality. You know, that thing we all have?

Nu, I'm god, and God makes no mistakes >:o.
I didn't say I didn't make mistakes.

I finished what I had to say. I recently pulled Ironhide out of a box, with some retarted toy panda stuck to him. Now his back's all fuzzy D:<

Yes Chromia, you may, animal :P

Ok good luck with whatever, you're doing... :???:

I am shocked and appalled that you have done this grave sin and named Universe Ironhide Generations Irnhide.
You are a danger to yourself and every one around you and must face the only acceptable consequence for your mistake, you will be bloodrocuted. :P

That's actually pretty cool and a really cheap price considering what I've seen him go for currently.

Cool it Gyrotron. I don't know why you have this insane need to correct everyone in a condescending manner, but it needs to stop.

He can call it whaterver he wants. He could have called it Neo Bob and the fandom would have been happy for him.

Also decepta-scott, congrats on getting the figure. I remember grabbing him at retail during the now legendary $7.77 deluxes.

I miss that year.

It has been exceedingly difficult to try and keep up with all the different lines. My wife has run up to me a half dozen times with figures Ive been looking into that sport the same name only they are from the movie or some other transformers line. It sucks to tell her that it isnt the figure I was looking for and watch the smile turn to confusion. Yeah tho. I was just stoked that my wife was able to buy ironhide for so cheap (compaired to his usual 50 plus ebay price tag) and it was a nice supprise to get him in the mail. messiah complex I also know all too well the woes of halling in far to many toys for the week. lol @ "I need them little shits"

Yeah, and back then Henkei was running for about $18/each. Back then I thought it was ridiculous to pay those prices for a figure that could be had in the US for right about $8, especially factoring in any extra shipping costs. I didn't worry too much about the different paint apps, either.

I am now regretful of my rationale back then. It's getting difficult to buy SCOUT CLASS figures at $7.77 these days.

And if anyone wants to hear a real atrocity, do a search for Henkei Ironhide on e-Bay. Some guy has Voyager MechTech Ironhide for sale under the Henkei description/title.
