So, I bought Leader Sentinel Prime today. I have a question before I open him.

Does anyone own a voyager sentinel and have pics yet? or better yet, have both leader and voyager? I'm big on scale and the only leader I own (other then Leader Sentinel) is Jetfire, cause he would have been bigger anyways (and was only released as a leader) Looking at Megs and Prime and Shockwave compared to him, they are dwarfed by his size. I know with a leader size you get better detail and all.

I'm wondering size and scale vs detail. Would love to see a picture of both side by side to see the difference. And to see his size in the movie compared to the others too, but until I do, I'm thinking he'll stay in the box for now.

You won't be able to scale Sentinel properly.

That fire truck is HUGE. Sentinel Prime should be a little taller than Optimus, while his truck is WAY bigger than Optimus' semi mode. If you're using a Voyager Optimus, use a Voyager Sentinel. It's all going to have to be based on the Optimus you use.

heres how i would do it all.

Get both sentinels, and for whatever purpose you are using, example a battle with sentinel vs Megatron (stop motion) use voyager, and if you were to just use him to display then get leader, voyager is better for stop motion stuff, i mean, the size isn't important really, i mean look at ROTF legends scavenger, he is smaller to most legend/cyberverse figs. Hasbro can't keep him in size with the amount of detail, but what you could do (im confusing myself) is by takaras leader prime w/ jetwing dat'd make things easier, ignore dotm megs, get rotf leader and for shockwave, and other big bad asses, erm wait to see what hasbro do. just get the voyagers and leaders. dat makes more sense

It's all on what you prefer. Leader Sentinel seems to be much more detailed in paint apps than voyager. It's mainly just red and grey, that voyager.

Scale depends on what other figures you display it with. As for displaying him with OP in alt mode, I'd say Leader Sentinel matches well with Voyager OP.

But the Voyager version looks pretty crappy, with a big flat piece of gray plastic on his back that's some of the worst kibble I've seen in a while.

ha ha, yeah, I've been looking at a few voyagers online and not super impressed w/ Voyager Sentinel.

Guess I can go later after the rush of DOTM and the generations/RTS rush and find a leader prime and Megs.

Well, Leader Sentinel Prime would be in scale with Voyager Optimus, at least in truck mode. Considering that, Voyager Sentinel should be in scale with Deluxe Prime and Voyager Megatron. Therefore, we'd need an "Ultimate Sentinel Prime" to be in scale with a Leader Optimus.
Depends on who you wish to display him with.

From my research it seems that the firetruck is about 30% longer than Primes rig. AS CP said: huge.

Agree with Mykltron: my own research shows Optimus' alt mode should be about 25% shorter in length and width than Sentinel. FWIW.

I found a few youtube video's that show the difference. Nothing of Prime next to SP though.

Dog notices large amount of kibble on back. Dog eats SP. SP becomes turd. Now, if the dog were able to digest the kibble, he might crap out a better version of the figure!

The Leader version is much much better than the voyager in terms of almost every aspect - be it size, detailing, show accuracy and accessories. The sentinel prime voyager is kind of small even as a voyager and also the whole trucks section basically hangs as an ugly backpack, only saving grace is the mech tech cannon he comes with but even that cannot warrant a purchase over the leader version. In terms of the recent DOTM voyagers figures, I think only shockwave, megatron and skyhammer is of high quality , the rest even old optimus is pretty crappy IMHO

Yeah, 07 movie voyager Optimus I'm thinking is going on the list of soon to sell TF's I want to get rid of.

I posted something on this topic myself- my question is has anyone seen Voyager in hand? I have it here myself and it really doesn't look that bad. It looks pretty nice next to the other Voyagers and I would put it right up there with Megs and Shockwave.

I guess if I can buy Leader Sentinel for $35 right now would it be worth it to exchange my Voyager for that one?

Which one has more of a fun factor? Leader looks complex and a bit fragile while Voyager looks ready to play and pose right out of the box next to the other DOTM Voyagers.

The only positive thing I can say about the Voyager Sentinel was at least it had the proper shaped chest windows.

I bought the leader version at the weekend. I had a nightmare getting him into alt mode properly and in the end I gave up, he was almost in alt mode. Getting the backend of the truck to be perfect so that the large grey top piece would lay in place, without popping out, was frustrating.

Looks great in bot mode though.

Voyager SP is much better than you'd expect. My biggest problem is the long legs and coarse ratchets in the hips. He's either standing perfectly straight, or is an upside down "Y". His cannon is very good, especially since it has a handle near the front and can sit on his shoulder like a bazooka.

Any (decent) pics of voyager Sentinel prime? How bout posed next to one of the other voyagers? That would be awesome
