wasted ironhide

So......I took my 4 yr old to a Doctors Apt and they had a little box of toys tucked under the table. While we waited he pulled out the box of toys and I noticed an Ironhide sitting in there. "Recon Ironhide". All jacked up too. Like missing a head and obviously no weapons I'm assuming because of the hospital.
All I could think of was what a waste of a $20 plus dollar Transformer. I get it, At the end of the day, it's just a toy, but seemed like such a waste of poor ole Ironhide. Rotting away to be broken and re-broken and one day discarded.

A toy, rotting away in a doctor's office where kids are usually frightened and figity?

That's kind of what little kids do. Put toys in their mouths, break it, and so on. The hosipital doesn't care.

I didn't do that when I was little. I have most of my old toys to prove it too.
Problem with today's world is that kids are becoming a lot less careful with stuff.

Seriously. Those toys serve a greater purpose. Not a waste, as much as they are performing above and beyond the call of duty.
A friend of mine's 7 year old stepson is currently going through a month long hospital stay for lukemia, and trust me, there is no wasting of those toys on those kids.
Although, the toys were probably donated, so Ironhide was most likely in that condition before he got there, as he was probably bought for a kid that was too young for it.

Hopefully you transformed it into the truck so kids wouldn't have to play with a headless hero.

No, Most of the toys in there were honestly toddler approved toys. This was the only one that stood out to me as probably shouldn't be in there. I thought of taking the poor guy home and adding him to my collection of TF's that I'm looking to sell/donate to someone who likes to kitbash / customize there own TF's. But I left him there as the Doc came in.

Dude, don't steal from the Dr's office, someone prob donated that thing to begin with. In a way you would have stolen from sick kids.

Steal no. Re-purpose yes. And it was only a thought.
Trust me, after thinking of all the germs sitting in that toy box it wasn't going to happen either way.

Do you still have your 2 and under toys?
Those are usually durable toys any. I mean, it's in a doctors waiting room, a kid of any age could bash and mash it up. It could have been a 2 year old being clumsy, or a 12 year old doing it on purpose cause it's not theirs.

Yes, hence why I said "That's kind of what litte kids do." Not really talking about the past, but present. Non-Specific? Well now you know.
I have a neighbor whom has a three year old, and he plays with his transformers (the ones I gave him, like Action Battlers and all those little-kid toys that I used as substitutes for the Voyagers, Deluxes, Leaders, etc) carefully. But whenever he has a friend over, the kid bashes them around like a hammer.
So it's not technically all, just a majority.

Something tells me that if it was a windcharger it would have been long gone

but yeah... it should have been in truck mode as kids probably get more fun out of a truck than a headles robot

Who cares, it's just a toy that went on clearance and got donated to a doctor's kids waiting room to bring joy to sick children. That's what toys are for.
It's nothing special, not even in Transformers toys world.

If you haven't already seen it, you need to see Toy Story 3 ASAP!

Toy story syndrome?
The dentist and clinics I usually go has toys but they are pretty much bricks, potato heads, and dinosaurs. Transformers is quite high class actually, even without the head.
