Beast Wars Upgrade

So, I'm at the tail end of Beast Wars season 3, and I was thinking about my collection, and the lack of beast wars figures. Why? Well, I never liked the molded fur on most of them, which is why I prefer Transmetals.

But what if they made Beast Wars figures with REAL fur on them, like synthetic hair... I think I'd reconsider a Cheetor 10fold if he had actual patches of fur all over his bot mode, and a really convincing beast mode.

So this post goes out to you customizers, and on a larger scale, hasbro and 3rd party people. Just a cool idea from a collector looking for more realism.

I know it's not entirely covered in fur, but if you're interested in Japanese Beast Wars, you should look into Mach Kick. He transforms into a horse of course, but the tail of the beast mode, and the pony tail in robot mode are made of strands of nylon, simulating real hair.

not bad, its a start, hehe. Im hoping for some completely fur covered bots, even if the strands are super short like a rug, anything to avoid the molded hair. Its probably my biggest putoff on beastwars figures.

Mach Kick is an exception on both fronts: not only with the nylon hair, but the rest is completely smooth: no molded fur detailing.

Yea, you know what? that smoothness is way better, definitely leaves more to the imagination without forcing you to see this static image of fake hair.

so basically, you want Narlies? I suppose I always knew that someone, somewhere across the breadth of time and space would one day want those, but I didn't think I'd be alive to see it.

Good lord, I used to have that thing. I never knew what it was, I always figured it was from He-man.

It's an interesting idea. I've nearly really considered customising Beast Wars figs. MAybe Universe Cheetor could use some love when I open him.

Haha, dear lord, thats a little off target of what i meant, hehehe.
Maybe a 10 times better looking version of that... with much shorter hair in most places.... but..not that
Yea Mykltron, you do some good work, hesay....
Do it up and then I will promote the crap outa it :P

Maybe your thinking of flocking a figure. Flock is really really really small felt fibres that you sprinkle on glue. It's the same fuzzy stuff that's on a figure like Panthor from He-man or Moss man.

If a customizer or yourself had wanted to put some fuzz on a beast wars figure you just have to buy some white glue and some flock from a hobby store and apply the glue then sprinkle on the felt fibres and let the glue set. Then you have a fuzzy figure without being over hairy.

Yea dude, thats a great idea, definitely what I meant. Thanks for the info man, I might just invest in a classics beast wars figure now, and do this to customize.... unless mykltron beats me to it ;)^

I might be down for some flocked figures, similar to moss-man.
However, that's where I'd draw the line. I wouldn't want a transformer that had fur/hair, using he-man again, like Grizzlor. At the same time, I'm also iffy about like, a rubbery flesh stuff, like the jurrasic park toys.
I think I like to keep it plastic and the fake fur/skin.

Or, you could go to Petsmart and scoop up a real living cat and rename one Cheetor. Just sayin'.

Not unless I had the money to make it bionic... and, I think god and the state would frown upon those actions. But hey, yet again customizers, feel free to explore, the black market awaits.

And yes, moss man is exactly what I meant.
