Takara Tomy have updated their website with a page for the upcoming, and highly controversial, Masterpiece 10 Convoy/Optimus Prime version 2.0.
Currently the page doesn't show us anything new, apart from a "3rd Point", or mode, that's marked as "coming soon".
Click here to see the update.

there are 2 things that will deside if i get jetpack prime or this prime and those are:

1: if hasbro releases this mold in the US(for a respecatable price)
2: if optimus is badass enough in the 3rd movie to motivate me enough to buy takara's jet-prime.

this acually wouldn't be a problem if i had enough money to spare.

I just realised that he has the proportions of the old G1 Prime toy.

Also, that 3rd Point is ether the battle platform or the rage of those who bought every single version of the the first MP Prime mold.

SO, what are the chances that the Hasbro release will have the trailer?

Man I cannot wait until this replaces my G1 25th Anniversary rerelease on my Shelf.

I've never bought an MP Optimus before, and I'm sorely tempted... Since I don't have my G1 Optimus anymore and he was my first Transformer ever, this would be the best possible stand in.

The only question remaining is, do I want to spend the money on it?

Next to nil. Rodimus can attest to that.

What can this 3rd feature be that's TTomy not revealing?
1, Is it the opened up battle trailer or repair bay? But we already saw the pic from various sites so I don't see the reason for TTomy to hide it.
2, Prime chest opened up to reveal the Matrix?
3, Roller hidden storage from the back?
4, Or maybe, this 3rd feature will show how MP10 has the capability to form into UMgnus or God Girnai as stated by MP10 designer.

You can see it inside his chest, behind the windshield.

You're seriously asking this? /:)

As much as I want Hasbro to release this with the trailer, it's not going to happen. This is Hasbro we're talking about. Of course it's not going to come with the trailer, they're probably just going to exclude it for the sake of the price. Not that Hasbro's never given us a trailer; we're getting Ultimate Prime (which is really cool, not sure why 99% if Earth's population is hating on it :???: ).

Hey man, I know it's a long shot, but I had to ask. I hate that Hasbro keeps releasing these without their full accoutrements. Prime needs his trailer and so does Roddy. Would there be a chance of a 3rd party trailer at a non-insane price?

I'm assuming the hidden images will be of the trailer opened up into command mode. Yea, we've seen it, but that is the only thing that makes sense there.

I am starting to warm up to this guy, just not for that price.

It might be the crappy bot mode when not combined, the lack of articulation in the combined form, or the WAY too big BFG that hides his head. But those are just my guesses.

I was really hoping his non-combined bot mode would work stand-alone, but alas it has spindly limbs with Popeye forearms, and is in all ways a downgrade from the previous Leader class and voyager class. My guess is most fans (myself included) would rather have had the trailer as an attachment for one of those molds, instead of an entirely new mold that isn't an improvement.

Traditionally, 3rd party trailers have been about $100, give or take. You decide if that is insane or not.

because in return for a trailer (which is a positive) we get a crapy base figure and when combined we get a still crapy figure whos legs become to huge and overall he is too boxy.(i only hate him becuase of the legs(very minor complaint that i don't mind too much)and the trailer panels hanging off his waist next to the legs(it would work if he was more samurai like).

lets not for get the over sized canon.

Love the figure, hate the gun.

I would very much like that third point to be eventual combination armor. Ya know, milk us for another 11MP Primes.

Chances are VERY good that MP-10 will see a US Habro release.

But, there is almost a 100% chance that this will be released WITHOUT the trailer.

I'm 100% with you on that. His stubby gun looks like crap. I am hoping this comes with a regular full sized gun as an extra accessory. If not, one of the many cool things about iGear's faith leader PP-01 is his extra weapons. He'll have to lend it to MP-10.

I love how MP10 has sharpened smokestacks for Darwinian-challenged American children to jab themselves in the eyes with. I am sure that Hasbro is already engineering for their removal on the Hasbro version.

I wonder if Spike can sit inside MP Starscream's cockpit?

What, what, what???

From the International Tokyo Toy Show, Mr.MAEDA said MP10 mold may be planned for future Ultra Magnus. This statement reaffirmed an information earlier regarding MP Umagnus long before the toy show took place. The person said more clue about the armor attachment will be seen in MP10 mold. God Ginrai thingy was just a throw-in opinion from fellow posters.

The next question is, assuming the info is true like Mr. Maeda, will MP Ultra Magnus release as a white Magnus first, then another release with only the armor, or will it be a Perfect Edition like MP4? Only time will tell.

Lately I have been watching the G1 cartoon and this version of Prime is more tv accurate as the Autobot symbol in the trailer is on the right place and the proportions are more up to scale with the animation model for Prime. Let's also add in the fact that MP-1 and 4 Primes tend to look a bit chunky chest-wise as I always thought Prime's legs couldn't support the huge mass above and the fact that the grill sinks into his abs in robot mode. I think the real reason people are pissed off is money issues as they have most likely spent quite a bit on the MP-1 or 4 or maybe both and another Prime seems like overkill. Bandai did the same thing with Perfect Grade Gundam Strike Freedom.
