I second Jetfire, although my original G1 collection was somewhat limited. The original prime was well articulated too.

Yeah, either Jetfire or perhaps HUNGER?

If were talking transformers that transform than it's a tough fight between 1985 Jetfire,1984 Optimus prime,Some 1987 Transformers like the 3 new mold decepticon Targetmasters, the 1987 Horrorcons,1988 quickswitch,1987 brainstorm. 1984 Soundwave had decent poseability. 1987 Headmaster Weirdwolf.

If were referring to transformers that don't transform, then maybe the 1990 Action masters.

It's really a tough call between the Battlechargers and the Throttlebots.

Ahem.

Jetfire almost certainly wins.

Soundwave is a close second; the main problem with him being that his knees bend backward (due to transformation).

Shockwave has no leg articulation to speak of; but arm articulation was good. Of course, the same can be said of several G1 Autobot cars. (But at least Shockwave's legs were fully separated.)

As mentioned by others, Optimus Prime had pretty good arm articulation; but loses points for separate fist parts, IMO.

Honorable mention to Omega Supreme for superb foot articulation. (Hey, he could walk. Yeah, Trypticon could walk, too; but his arms weren't good for much.)

Jetfire.

Blastoff, Vortex, and Whirl get nods though for being the first to have ball joints.

I never had a Jetfire, so I'm gonna say Hungrr, Quickswitch (no mentions yet?!) or Scattershot.

I believe Hun-Grrr has the most articulation from any of the lead combiners.

Blurr. That mouth just doesn't stop!

Nah, jk. I also add to the consensus that Jetfire is the most articulated.

*looks at TF collection wall*

I would have to say the ones with the best articulation(some of the most notables I can see)

Jetfire
Soundwave
Mindwipe
Snapdragon
Weirdwolf
Hun Gurr
Divebomb (Predacon)
Rampage (Predacon)
Optimus Prime

I will go as far as even
Scorponok
Fort Max

Both could move arms and legs and elbows

It's Jetfire.

Optimus and Soundwave get nods for a decent number of POA but Optimus couldn't swing his legs forward and Soundwaves' forward folding knees knock points off.

One that hasn't been mentioned is Sludge - of all the Dino's he is probably the best articulated and only Jetfire beats him by having normal elbows.

Misfire was another well articulated G1, with bonus points for a really cool alt mode and decent proportions in bot mode.

I'd normally agree with G1 Jetfire, but technically he's a cheat because he's not by Takara. :P

True, but back then a lot of the rules we have today didn't exist.

You don't remember rightly. Hot Shot wasn't in G1, unless you're talking about Hot Rod

For some reason I always end up calling Hot Spot, Hot Shot. I don't know why either.

Jetfire for Autobot and overall
Galvatron for Decepticon

and worst, any Throttlebot.

I can't believe I forgot to list Hun gurr. he's a extremly poseable TF toy.

I would have listed the 1987 city-formers but feared the back lash in replies.

1986 Cyclonus was extremly poseable too. so was 1986 Wreckgar.

some of the 1986 predacons were poseable but lacked elbow joints & their robot heads couln't turn/rotate.

It's kinda SAD/ODD/WEIRD Hasbro abondoned the cecent poseability for the 1988 thru 1989 transformers. I think the most poseable 1988 TF toy was Quickswitch. My guess is the lack of a Media cartoon for the TF USA toys from 1988 thru 1989 Lowered the budget designs for the TF toys. hence the lower sculpts, less poseability & less paint apps, & smaller sized TF toys.
