Based on a topic that Amelie did:

Im here to talk about a toy that needs more love,Animated deluxe Optimus
Image
His vehicle mode is great, its accurate and its everything its need to be.
Image
The smoketracks dont ruin the figure,in fact, they add more detail.
Image
I dont mind that he does not come with a trailer. If you see some epiodes of Animated,he just roll just as a semi-cab.
Image
His transformation is good, simple and does an make cool robot mode!
Image
His axe is just the right size for him and he can strike very cool poses.

Image
He is preety good for scales too, here some examples:

Here is comparison with Animated Grimlock:

So thats it,he is one my favorites and i though he deserve some credits.

So waht do you think of him?

I thought it was very good, until my brother broke off his head

Agreed. It's a great figure. My only complaints are that the "battle damage" sorta messes up the looks of the figure, and the spring loaded waist "action feature" is annoying, particularly since it causes the torso on mine to not entirely center. Of course that was an easy fix by winding one of those clear bands around the waist cut a few times, thus making it less loose.

Really?Mine is fine.

Yes this is a really nice figure for a DLX, much better than the cybertron version.

I wanted him for the ax, but I kept him because he is awesome.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck dude! Mine is just fine and a grand figure it is. Of the few animated TFs I got this set is awesome. I think the battle damage is just right between both Prime and Megatron! IMHO if you were not sure about this Prime by itself or in the set and had doubts you will agree it's a worthy Prime....'nuff said! :VEHI:

One of the only two Animated figures I have (the other being the Megatron that came with it in a two pack). It's nice and poseable, you can get some great poses with him doing stuff like holding the axe over his head with both hands, but very loose and floppy, and I just don't like the Animated style at all, so it's one of my least favorite Primes.

It's a cool fig, and one that's also under-appreciated, but I think the Voyager version is superior.

I never got this guy, I bought the (awesome) voyager. I also got the cybertron version of this guy, so no real need for this one. It still looks appealing, though. It's just a solid design IMO.
