Well Now I Feel Stupid

For the past two movies, the nice guys at Hasbro/TakaraTomy have offered us Leader Class OP and Megs figures along with more affordable Voyagers. I'm the type of guy who wants the big stuff, so I own those characters in Leader Class, thinking that the Voyagers were unnecessary.

Then Dark of the Moon came along.

This time, OP and Megs are Voyagers and I can't help but wish I had Voyager representations of the characters from the previous lines to compare to the current figures. I feel pretty dumb for overlooking those old Voyager Class figures now.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Nope. I bought them all back then.

Only leader voyager I'm missing is Prime though.

The old Voyager Prime mold is awesome. I'd recommend picking it up if you get a chance.

Not to mention the new deluxe mold for Optimus this movie as well.. It's friggin awesome..The voyager for DOTM is horrible, looks and feels like a cheao KO..The Deluxe IMO is awesome...I bought a Op from each of the movies and I have to say the ROTF leader is my fav so far with the DOTM deluxe right behind it..

I'll agree with LiKwid. ROTF leader Prime is the best mold for movie Primes.

now I need to get my hands on Buster Prime and eventually Jetwing Prime.

Nope. I bought them in various size classes because of figures like Blackout being so small - I wanted an OP and Megs to lead every section. I split my movieverse figures into three size classes. Four now that DotM has appeared.

To date the best Voyager prime is Battle Blades Prime - almost as good as ROTF Leader class.

The dumb thing is they don't release leader Megatron. DOTM voyager Megatron is like a little child comparing to my ROTF leader Prime and Starscream.

There will be a new Leader Class...something later this year.

It'll probably be Megatron, so hold your horses amigos. Scaling off of RotF Leader Prime is still the Pro-way to go.

Well they can't have two of the most IMPORTANT Decepticons not made into Leader-class, can they? I mean, it is MEGATRON, the leader of the Decepticons in Earth-mode, and SHOCKWAVE, one of the most awaited characters in the third installment! They MUST be having the two in some form of Leader class!

Besides I understand that Megs comes with a shotgun in this movie so they MUST have at least one toy which has that besides/along with his Fusion-cannon!

Whew. I was preparing to go straight to basing everything off Voyagers. Causes horrible problems with the likes of guys like BumbleBee but oh well...

Too bad with ShockWave's minimal role he probably won't get a Leader, I would've liked one...

Also, that ShotGun of Megatron's...in the trailer, it had that same Fusion Cannon sound, does that make it a...Fusion ShotGun?

They must, huh? No robot in the film has a weapon as big as a mech tech. Don't hold your breath on accurate weapons.

Just cos it looks like a pump action shot gun doesn't mean it IS one. Alien technology, remember?

Since it looks like one though, I've dubbed it the Fusion ShotGun, Fusion based on the actual function (it seems to have the same unique sound as the other two), ShotGun...just based on appearance since that's what looks like.

I want a leader Megatron. I can see why they are hesitant, seeing as how the leaders of the first two movies shelfwarmed. They don't want to make another shelf warmer. The thing is, the others only warmed because the designs sucked. This design is a LOT better. Doubt we'll get it though. :(
