I just picked up this robot chicken looking thing. I'm currently leaving it in the box until I see Human Alliance Soundwave and Lazerbeak that he comes with. I havn't seen the movie (seeing it tomorrow a.m.) but wondering how close size wise he is to the characters or is it another (oversized deluxe like ROTF Ravage)? Although he looks smaller then a deluxe? Like we get charged a deluxe price for a scout size toy.
So......anyone have any likes or hates about this one or should I hold out for HA soundwave? (I'm not getting soundwave just for Lazerbeak) he is my favorite decepticon so I'm getting him no matter what.

the Dlx Lazerbeak is far too large compared to his teammates, but his feet are 5mm pegs. This means he can sit on Meg's arm.
Also, Lazerbeak never takes on the altmode his toy has.

That's not suprising.
I'm holding out for a Legion Class Laserbeak and a Deluxe Soundwave.

Laserbeak is over sized like ravege put the figure is so awesome im goin to buy another one and then when the ha soundwave comes out ill also get that.
Lbeaks vehicle mode is smaller than its robot mode. When Lbeaks wings are fully extened they have a 10.5 inch wingspan so he's actually a good size.
I have a feelen that the ha soundwave is just a deluxe soundwave that comes with the deluxe laserbeak.

He actually took the form of a
printer (like the one in the Double A paper commercial) But noo... hasbro just had to make him a cybertronian VTAL

. Well the delux lazerbeak has an alternate head revealed not long ago (buzzsaw?) i'll hold out for that. That way i can get buzzsaw and HA lazerbeak. The head now really looks like a turkey.

Considering he also turned into
a TV, kitchen decoration, and a tiny pink Bumblebee, I think I can forgive Hasbro for giving the toy a VTOL Drone alt. I doubt he actually HAS a true altmode.

Laserbeak is the only DOTM figure I've gotten so far(aside from the "Preview Prime"), and I love the figure! Oh hey, his head looks goofy, but it also reminds me of "The Giant Claw", and whether intentional or not it's grown on me.
Alt. mode wise, it looks good and doesn't detract at all from the figure. Like the Dread-bots, I think I like they went for variety instead of accuracy. More fun and imaginitive that way. Articulation for him is very, very good. He can get into actual bird poses, and he's pretty stable. Mech-tech thing doesn't work out too well form him, but the indivual cannons look good on him.
Overall, I don't have Hatchet or deluxe ROTF Ravage(got Legends Ravage though), but out of the "animal" figures, Laserbeak is hands down the best of them.
Also I'm not counting Steeljaw, cause he's not in the film, except maybe in the begining on Cybertron. Big maybe.
