Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime - UNIQLO Showpiece

Following in the footsteps of the BAPE Generation One Convoy, Japanese clothing company UNIQLO has partnered up with Takara to promote Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. They have colored Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime in the colors of UNIQLO, Red and White. However unlike BAPE Convoy, this figure is a one-off and not for sale.

This is pretty awesome! I wish they would have done something differently to the wheel wells on his ankles though.

I wish this was released at retail.. Ban Dai does promotions like these all the time and have them released.
Like seriously, I want a Canada Convoy and this is as legit as it gets.

Yucky. Much prefer my original to this. But this would make a great candidate for repainting as I wouldn't feel bad about airbrushing over any nice factory paint job.

I like it. Front fenders look outta place, but mush more attractive than the BAPE repaint.

Really, this looks alot better than the original colors of the DMK. If they sold it i would have bought it as a gundam

Any chances convincing the uniqlo staff to sell this to you? There's a uniqlo outlet at a mall nearby ...
Also, Is this hand-painted or plastic recolour? Seems pointless to repaint a figure you wont do a mass-release for.

Agh! does anyone know where I can still get the original? I had my card stolen and couldn't buy him till I got it back yesterday!

DMK OP is so awesome no matter what colors it comes in. I think the truck paint scheme starts with normal OP colors than transitions to the red and white at the cab/sleeper area. Look at the forearm standard scheme also.

Optimus Prime model is sold out my friend but if u want to spend almost $200-$300 on Prime model.

Remember that
UNIQLO themed Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime show piece we saw early last month? According to
Autobase Aichi the current issue of Dengeki Hobby has announced a Lucky Draw version of the Dual Model Kit featuring the UNIQLO color scheme minus the logos. This will be a unique piece with only one being produced.

I do not care for the dual models myself, although I do appreciate how movie accurate the amount of detail is. This particular color scheme has me tempted though. It looks very...I don't know, government issue? Maybe? Like Evangelion. Giants robot aliens (angels) buckled into some human technology with lettering and the "Do not step here" warnings like on a jet. Rambling, anyway, looks cool.

That is some wicked sick deco...when It said "Lucky Draw" I thought Id'e be seeing more solid gold crap, but this is pleasing!

I like it.. tho the wheel well and forearms should just be painted red to match the plastic mold and the blue flames should be white.. then it would kickass!
