Do you have G1 Grapple or Inferno?

I need a tire for grapple and while searching for part's I can't find one without having to buy a good toy to steal it from. That defeats the point. If you have Grapple or Inferno, could you tell me if his tire/wheel size is comparable to someone else his size so I might could look elsewhere?

I was just measuring mine against the RTS and some of the movie line TF's. A problem I see is quality for one. My G1 Inferno is an Encore so not sure if that matters, but it is a rubber tire. All the movie lines and RTS are plastic. And G1 seems to be about 1-2 mm smaller in size.

The only thing I could think of is perhaps go to the stores and find a regular non-transforming car or craigslist? Should be able to pick up a decent replacement. I googled (image search) toy trucks and tons of examples popped up. Or a garage sale, but that could take some time. I'd almost say hit up TRU or Big Lots or something of the like?

Who says you have to take from a good toy. There are plenty of junkers out there and certainly one has a good tire on it.

Some RiD's have rubber tires, but I'm not sure if any would be the proper size, and they're 10 years old now so not really going to be easy enough to come buy to tear down for parts.

Originals would also be rubber, as would most year 1 and 2 full size Autobots. Not sure if they'd all be a size match for Grapple/Inferno or not.

Yeah, G1 Optimus Primes tires are the same size, "not that I'd destroy a G1 Prime to fix Inferno"

The only ones I have found so far are running 10 and up. I checked Transformerland and they have one with a couple tires left for 6 dollars. I may make them a lower offer since I'll pick up some other things at their site.

Good to note. I got a Prime in the lot that Grapple came with and he pretty much has a black grille do to chrome wear. Depending on his joints I might swipe one from him.

Check with Wheeljack's Lab (Wheeljackslab@heartofiowa.net), I got Inferno tires off him a few years back.

The G1, G1 is a hard rubber type. While the re-issue G2 is a softer type of rubber, similar to Hotspot's/Hotzone's tires.
