My wife just got this yesterday and I thought I would pass it on. TRU is having an event this Saturday where you can check out the new line of TF.

Uggggh..I always have to work during this stuff! I've been seeing the Kre-o stuff in wal mart waaaay before TRU ever got it..interesting...

Hey! that email reminds me. I was at toys r us the day before yesterday and saw that buy ANY tf item and get a movie ticket. I spent $30 and they never said anything about it. Wonder how I go about getting my free movie ticket?

They mention the movie ticket in the ad I posted a link to above. Maybe you should take your receipt back to the store and ask them about it?

Wish I could go. I'm broke atm and if I were to go to that, I would want to buy more TF's, lol.

Should I feel ackward that I'm in my late 30's and I will probably be there? LOL

Last time I checked the box always reads..ages 5+...I think were good Heck the people who work at thr TRU by me know me by my first and last name and they know what I come in there for

I have no hesitation about shopping for TFs or other toys as a 35-year-old man, but going to an event like this, that's aimed at children, is another story. (It even says "Event intended for children" in the email.) They'll probably have a table set up for kids to play with the toys, and I don't want to be the creepy looking guy that all the moms are pulling their kids away from.

If you're an adult, shop for TFs all you want, but don't go to kids' events. It would be like going to Chuck E. Cheese by yourself for lunch, or hanging out in the playground area at McDonalds. You're going to look like a child predator.

We've set up here in this TRU store tonight to see how many creepy guys will show up....

I'm planning to get a few figures at TRU sometime by this Saturday to get a free DOTM ticket, but I'll try to go before 2 PM or after 4 PM so that there aren't tons of kids there.

My 6 year old daughter is into TF's... I may take her.

Thanks for the info dude. I've been eyeing Kreo Starscream (I'm a huge fan of anything Starscream), but was a little hesitant to spend 30 bucks on a figure I'd just keep in alt mode. At least tomorrow I can get the figure and a free movie ticket (normally 10 dollars). That way, it won't sting as much when I pay 30 dollars. Needless to say, I'll be there tomorrow!

Is it too late to grow out a Crustache and write, "Who loves free candy?" on a greasy t shirt?

Cause thats about the only way to pull this off if you don't have kids.

No problem happy to help. I have a few of the Kreo's already. Though I have been waiting to find the Starscream set myself. I believe it comes with a mini Soundwave as well which is pretty cool looking.

Soundwave comes with Sentinel Prime, not Screamer.

My bad you are correct. That's the other set I was looking into getting but I have yet to see either SS or SP in the stores near me.

Me either. I've been in weekly at my TRU looking for Sentinel.

I wonder if they have yet to be released? I have seen them online so maybe I'll buck up and pay for shipping and buy them.

Theyve been released. I saw starscream yesterday at tru but didnt buy him because the 30 dollar price tag was a little hard to swallow. I also saw sentinel at walmart.

I haven't seen the Kre-o line in any other store other than TRU, that's interesting. I agree though $30 is alot to spend especially when I could be using it for other TF that you know transform...

They had a similar "Try out the new Power Rangers Samurai Megazord" event just over a month ago. It'd be nice if this became a regular deal, as my TRU hasn't really done much of anything like this since Bakugan tournaments ended last year.
