A new update has been sent out via e-mail from the Transformers Collectors Club. According to the statement, the free Club exclusive, Breakaway, has arrived at Fun Publications HQ along with the Botcon box sets. The problem though, is that with how busy Fun Publications is currently, they are unable to ship the figure at the moment.

They also go on to state that there will be Breakaway toys at Botcon for purchase though.

Hello XXXXXXX!

I have good news and some almost good news:

In honor of the boxed sets arriving from China Thursday, we posted the
box art for this year's convention set at BotCon.com.

The almost good news is that the Breakaway figures came in the same
shipment but...we won't be able to get them out before BotCon. We will
have some with us for sale in RI. We will be shipping all the free ones
when we return from RI and they should all be in the mail by July 13th.
Thanks for your patience.

BTW, the bag has a misprint on them and it says BotCon 2007 which is
not correct. The Breakaway figures have nothing to do with the BotCon
figures, only they were produced at the same time.

Sounds more like they needed an "extra" exclusive figure at Botcon, and figured "hey, we've got this magazine exclusive coming in at the same time, why not...?"

But that's just me...

Why the harshness? It's not like we weren't getting it, big deal it arrives a few weeks later than last year. I'd take that as the tradeoff for BotCon arriving earlier in the year.

Everytime I see BotCon upsate I get my hopes up that they will do a wider release of The Seekers.

Well, it's good to know that they will actually have the convention exclusive items there for us to buy. Seems like in a lot of businesses this may be cutting it close, but maybe that's just me.

Only about a week until my wife and I leave for Rhode Island!!!

i was certainly starting to wonder about the fate of Breakaway. This is definately good news to as I was starting to doubt his release.

I had been wondering about Breakaway too. I mean, aren't the TFCC membership figures supposed to ship in May? Maybe they should produce TFCC exclusives and BotCon exclusives separately.

Not surprised. Shoddy service for overpriced merchandise is about par for the course for these guys.
