A Hint from Hasbro?

I just got Searchlight w/Backwind today and noticed that he has "2015" on him.

Could this be a hint that Hasbro has something special planned for 2015? After all, this wouldn't be the first time Hasbro has printed things of significance onto toys:

What do YOU think?

Please refrain from hotlinking images from TFwiki next time. I doubt it is of anything significant. Hasbro doesn't plan that far ahead..

I think according to the Cybertronian Calendar, the world will end in 2015. :P

I'm not sure the number has any significance as I think Hasbro only thinks about a couple years in advance when planning Transformer lines.

Some theories could be speculated on. I'll make two up myself. PCC Designer "_________" has something special happening in 2015 and wanted to throw that year on there for their own personal amusment. OR, Designer "__________" wanted to throw 2005 on there to homage the original TF Move and changed a 0 to a 1 at the last minute.

Perhaps we should have a competition to come with the goofiest explanation for the 2015 being on this character? Me thinks it would be most entertaining. :)

Don't sweat it. Site politics you wouldn't know about it, and have no need to know about.

But yeah, perhaps 2015 is the model of the aircraft that this takes after? Who knows, I care less about the PCC Robots and more of the Mini-cons.

Now I'm curious.

Perhaps one of the designers is a fan of someone born January 5, XX20?

Or maybe that person owned 2015 Transformers at the time.

It's the year every line will end and only PCC's will continue in the form of Leadfoot repaints.

I think its the average number of PCCs someone will rifle through while digging through a bargain bin in hopes of finding an RTS Windcharger.

Yeah, its pretty unreal. Too bad too, PCCs had such great potential. Transforming drones might have sweetened the deal. And a more G1 accurate Huffer.

They should have given them hands that could hold weapons.

And bigger drones too.

I thought the pics for these PCCs looked sweet......until I saw one close up and was like really? There so small. And your right, transforming Drones.

On a Chinook Helicopter, to which this toy is kinda based off of, the rotors rotate approximately 2015 times per minute.

Just kidding, I made that up.

Awefully fast rotor then (I actually googled it) :P A typical lightweight helicopter's rotor only spins at 440-460 rpm, and the larger the rotor, the less rpm.
