How long till DOTM is clogging clearance racks?

The DOTM toys are not going through any shortage. Every store I've ever been in has them pegged to the max. There haven't really been any hard to find characters other than Laserbeak and TCracker, who really aren't hard to find anymore. Do you guy's think they over produced these things? I'm really starting to wonder how much of a price markdown they will get in a couple months.

To be honest, I think they released way too many waves at once. But whatever, clogged up shelves at one store or a couple stores in a city doesn't mean the end of the Transformers toy line. Same thing happened with HFTD. Toys end up selling, one way or another.

Actually HFTD is still clogging up 90% of the toy shops i visit. On top of that (we'll use smyths as an example) ordered (from their managers mouth) 250 units of dotm wave 1 deluxes.......and weeks later the shelves are still rammed full because tesco's are undercutting them massively.

Ive recently been told they wont be ordering anymore until the shelves are clear. Which could be months...possibly up to 12! :BOOM:

Ive took notice latley Smyths round my area has the same wave since they came out but they dropped there price from £13.99 - £9.99 for delux and £21.99 - £16.99 for voyager but Asda living a few shops down have there delux at £10 but with wave 2 characters and unlike Smyths they sell Scouts i found Powerglide and blackout for £6 each.
Sainburys on the other hand have the exclusives i picked up sideswipe the other day £12.99 they also had Nascar BB?? stange thing to among the shelf packed with DOTM was and get this Universe Voyager Powerglide and Onslaught at the stupid price of £40 each!!.

exactly the same as me (apart from the powerglide and onslaught). Even tru still has shed loads of hftd and wave 1 dotm. Its pathetic. The only newer dotm figs ive seen (in deluxe range) is barricade, jolt, sideswipe. (and obv the 2 sainsburys exclusives)

However mentally enough sainsbury's in shrewsbury had the supreme animated Optimus Prime for £7.99 on clearence.......i was gutted the shelf was empty, 2 days before i considered him for £15.99

Im waiting till sales to buy more DOTM, but damn im afraid BB and barricade are potential "fast-goers" i rarely see barricade anymore... well at least there's still TONS of BBS...

Also, Where is RTS wave 2! And come on with the generations clearence sale already!

(off topic, There was a hasbro warehouse sale here yesterday and i got myself an RTS jaz for $12 SGS... also got HFTD elita 1 $12 and PCC sledge $6  Saw traces of rts wave 2... bb ... but perceptor was long gone when i got there... saw people walking to the cashier with a whole carton of RTS. Damn scalpers :-x )

I'd like to bash their heads in with a sledgehammer. The easiest solution, however, is to run up and grab what you want out of their cart and hide somewhere in the store where they can't find you until you can get the chance to purchase it.

My walmart still has RotF at full price, so I doubt you are going to see it before the end of the year.

Yeah I don't think it's the end of an age for transformers because of hanging around toys but it sucks to try to find new things. Lots of places have no more Generations because they were taken over for DOTM. I wonder if TF Prime or other Gen waves we would have seen are going to be pushed back. Around here we never saw RTS preceptor and his buddies.

We've been pretty lucky in the uk as far as rts goes (imo anyways). Ive found pretty much all of them at the shops....generations is another story altogether, bloomin pathetic.

Prime is so meh for me its unreal, i might prefer it if id seen an episode or 2, but i refuse to watch it on youtube due to the size an quality.

I haven't seen Prime either. The toys remind me of more Animated inspired figures. But there is this really cool poster of Optimus and I think BB in Walmart that I noticed had the Prime logo on it. If they looked that way I'd be all in

The only thing ive seen is the odd pic. I'll buy the bumblebee (due to the missus bein obsessed lol). Megs looks ok, but the rest look unappealing imo. Too skinny an screawny. But, i said that about animated and i ended up buying most of them lol
