I blame this all on Razorclaw0000 and the rest of the podcast staff.

Moral to the story:

"If you get Counterpunched enough times, apes will take over the planet"

Sadly, you know what sold me on this expensive P.O.S. that I will probably regret buying later? The fact that Razorclaw0000 told me about this unique or interesting package that it comes in. I hadn't seen any pics of the packaging so I thought it needed the Seibertron.com gallery treatment. I may sell my set to recoup my costs and time after I do a gallery of it later down the road. It's not a piece that I consider necessary for my collection, especially if the packaging is necessary to sell me on the toy. Packaging gets ruined over time. Floods happen. Dings happen. I can't pay BotCon prices for a Japanese exclusive "dusty" paint job on two lackluster characters of which I already own too many versions of.

Of course, that's all easy to say until I get the set in my hands. We'll see if I sound like a politician after I get it and do a flip-flop.

Haha, oh boy. I just think regardless of whether the toys are good or not, or if the packaging will be good, I'm guessing the purchase happened because of the price point on BBTS? I would've done the same if I was a movie completionist. But man, ROTF Skids is a decent toy, with a rather complicated transformation, and ROTF Mudflap is awful for me, with a transformation that I find ridiculous (haven't transformed him back into car mode since opening the packaging). Even if they were regular priced, I wouldn't touch it.

But hey, you've got a greater goal in mind than simply completing a collection, and that is for the galleries. Good on ya Ryan.

I'm a completist about US released Transformers toys and I generally don't like to let things go from Europe or Japan but I will when necessary. I don't think these two toys are worth American regular retail prices. I still think the $86 for these two toys is absolutely 100% fanatically absurd. If I can get pics of these and sell these for $120 to $200+ later down the road then I'll know I made the right choice.

Decided to look up pictures of these. Buyers remorse immediately set in. Went back to BBTS and canceled my order for this (sorry Joel).

It comes with the same DVD I got with the ROTF Black Optimus Prime and the toys are in their regular packaging with a limited edition sticker. No way I'll get my money back out of this. Ack. False alarm. Sorry to make a big stink about it.

Only 5 left at BBTS! Go get 'em.

If I find these two for $20, I'll buy them.
