Greetings from the UK

Hey all,

I thought I'd introduce myself here first. My name is Ben, I'm 28 and fairly new to TF collecting. I've been a huge fan of G1 since it was first aired over here in the 80's. I have a small and erratic collection which I have now tried to consolodate into something more meaningfull and manageable. I tend to just pick up the odd toy here and there when I like it, although I've always leaned towardes just the autobots. So far my collection includes G1, Armada, Energon, RiD and Alternators but I'm planning on claering out the Armada and Energon stuff as it doesn't really do anything for me.

Being in the UK it can be very hard to get hold of stuff but I'm trying to find a good place to get US exclusives (Target etc). Anyway I'm going to try to start with something I want first then expand that way. The plan is to try to get hold of 1 of each of the Autobots from the Live Action film, only those that actually appeared I might add. So far, and apologies if I get some of the names wrong, I have the Leader Optimus Prime from ROTF, Voyager Ironhide from DOTM, and deluxe Bumblebee, Roadbuster and Skids. I just picked up leader Jetfire for a steal on ebay MISB but two of the autobots are proving to be real buggers to get hold of. Namely, Arcee and chromia from the Human Alliance packs with Skids and Mudflap. Does anyone know if they were released in the UK or where I can get them they don't have to be boxed as I like mine to be all out of packaging.

Anyway very long ramble over with Nice to be part of the Community!

Cheers Ben

Welcome to Seibertron! What part of the UK are you from?

Yes, it is hard to get toys in this country but there are some really great people over in the States that are happy to help you get a figure at cost. If you spend plenty of time here you'll find people are happy to help if you're nice.

Hi all, I'm Ian, in Yorkshire. Been collecting for years and years, much to my wife's dismay! I'm a member of the TM:UK forum (formerly known as The Hub), and look forward to chatting with you all in the future!

Nice to see some fellow UK fans here. :) Funnily enough, my name's Ben too.
I suppose I'd better introduce myself properly too - hello, Seibertron!

Hi Ben, and welcome to Seibertron. Although collecting in the UK sometimes sucks, my philosophy is, as long as you've got an Internet connection and a Paypal account you're never too far away from your next TF purchase!

Plenty more UK collectors! You never know if we ever get a large enough presence we might actually get more figures than just the scraps.

On the other hand you can always buy Japanese figures as the postage to the UK is relatively cheap compared with if you lived in the US.
