The Wreckers

So I've been looking, and either I'm blind or there isn't any news yet, but is there going to be a fully armed version of deluxe Roadbuster? Just hoping so because, unless I load him up with clip on weapons, then he just doesn't look right.

Also, I've not seen pics of DOTM Leadfoot anywhere, could some one inform me of weather or not he also comes unarmed in vehicle mode?

there is no armed version of deluxe roadbuster. if you want an armed version of him get the human alliance one. and as of lead foot there is a human alliance one coming out and there is a video review of him. also there is a deluxe lead foot scheduled for release some time in the fall i believe. also the HA leadfoot is NOT armed which i think is dumb. hope this helps

Right, thanks. This means that I clearly have but ONE choice. I buy up weapon packs for GIJoe figures, Star Wars figures, AND Warhammer 40K figures and glue them to the damn figure. Which means I'll need an extra Roadbuster just in case I screw it up horribly, which is very likely, but at least he'll look more screen accurate. Might have to use the Human Alliance figure as a template to do it up properly but goddamnit I WILL fix what Hasbro has failed to do! Even if i have to try MANY times to do it! I am tired of falling victim to corners being cut on costs to figures that should be excellent!

I'd wait a little while......

remember the ROTF line with yellow rampage and everyone bought it.....then like 6 months later..... red Rampage?

I'm hopeing in a few months they come out with the other versions so you can have both. Like buying the constructicons...but then having to buy an actual Devestator cause the constructicons do not combine..... So....wait and see.

Probably a good idea. Still gonna buy the current versions though, cause I'm loving the Wreckers. I'll buy whatever versions of the Wreckers that they come out with, repaints and all (if any).

In DOTM did they even show them in normal (non weapons) showing mode? I don't remember seeing them without there guns out? Which would say....why not do them all with guns out!!!!

What do you mean everyone bought it? Here it sucked so much, Toys R US gave it away free with every $80 spent on TFs  i got it free while buying jetfire and bludgeon

Keep in mind that the Wreckers are liscenced by NASCAR. It's likely part of their deal to have at least one version of each that isn't armed.

I find it very unlikely that there will be both armed and unarmed versions of the same Wrecker in the same size class. The reason is that it would result in oversaturation, kids don't care about armed or unarmed, and the fans will complain those three slots are better spent on other characters.

As mentioned in another thread, here are the armed vs. unarmed in every size class:

Roadbuster: CV armed, Deluxe unarmed, HA armed
Topspin: CV unarmed, Deluxe armed, HA ???
Leadfoot: CV armed, Deluxe ???, HA unarmed

Oversaturation? ha ha ha ha...... looks on shelves....
Nitro bumblebee
Walmart/target exclusive bumblebee
Leader bumblebee
DOTM delux bumblebee

nope....no oversaturation going on here. Lets look over here

Cyberverse Prime with jetpack
Cyberverse Prime with trailer
Cyberverse Prime with battleblades
Deluxe Prime
Voyager Prime
ultimate Prime
Prime with jetpack
etc, etc

hmmm....doesn't look too oversaturated?

I think your right that we won't see them done in all 3 of those lines, but I could see them doing a deluxe version with pop out guns later down the line. And knowing hasbro it probably wouldn't be all 3 done. Probably just 1 or 2 of the wreckers if any at all. I'd say time will tell? And like most others, I'll run out and buy what comes out with leadfoot and probably be duped later if it does come out.

I really hope they make a weaponized Deluxe Roadbuster sometime in the DOTM line. Although a new mold would be nice, all they'd really have to do would be to remold the vehicle mode parts. Hopefully, if they make a weaponized one, it'll have a less plain robot mode.

I would hope so.... look at some of the others they did ......

Bumblebee and then later ....cannon bumblebee (giving him the cannons from the 07 film)
Jolt and then later..........electro whip Jolt (gave the whips from the 10 seconds in ROTF scene)
Barricade then later......... Interrogation Barricade (for that 20 seconds from the 07 film)

I would hope Hasbro would do this......seems like if they do...it is a sneaky sales trick to get people to buy both. If they do not make one...... I'm sure some third party will fix that problem a little down the road.

Eh, well whatever. Like I said, if worse comes to worse I can cover Roadbuster in guns myself.

Kinda like this:
