DOTM TOYLINE PERFORAMNCE

I read from some forums around the world stating that DOTM toyline is performing poorly and below expectations and certainly way below ROTF and TFTM toylines. Is that true? In Malaysia and Singapore where I am from things seems to be going quite well as DOTM figures are flying off the shelves. How is the situation in your area?

The main line that has been flying off the shleves here is the Generations line. But that's because there is way more DOTM stuff out. DOTM takes way more peg and shelf space. There are a few rare and hard to find DOTM figs, but nothing compared to past movie line figs imo.

Here in the Netherlands is going slowly but steadily. We just hit our second wave Voyager and Human Alliance Wave 1, but it's few and far inbetween.

My Local Wal-Marts have been selling out and restocking rather well, TRU on the other hand, has way too many Leader bumblebee's and deluxes...everywhere.

Walmarts around San Diego are stocked super high of all the original stuff and there exclusives. I find that the Targets are having trouble staying stocked up. I'm not sure if thats due to better planning on one part or what.

My local Walmart seems to be doing well, selling and restocking, but there must be a huge Bumble Bee fan in the organization, as we have three deluxe DOTM and one Leader class regularly stocked now. It's easier to find Bumble Bee than any other Transformer. Also, someone is a big Autobot fan because Decepticons are the ones who are hard to find.

OMG.. please let it not be another version of Bumble Bee. Don't get me wrong, I like Bee. He's awesome. He kicks butt, and I'm on the side of the Autobots, but can we PLEASE get the other two dreads or some other Decepticons??

Ha! I literally almost burst into laughter after reading that post. You know, because it's probably true.

I think they could have performed alot better if they had brought some of the other characters out early.

If your going to release a film, at least bring out toys of all teh characters in teh film before bringing out randoms that you just decided to fit, and recolours.

Though of course doing it in waves (and leaving soem until the dvd release) means that they keep interest up to date an current, and provide a longer term sales figure, than just a one off one for the film release.

BUT !

I want my Mirage, wheeljack & soundwave alognside the two other decpeticons that were with crankcase, and the 3rd wrecker...... GRRRR

I agree, I really want Soundwave and Dino, passing on Q, Leadfoot and the rest of the Dreads should they get made.

I kinda hope it IS another Leader Bee. That way, I don't have to drop Leader level cash.

If I were betting like Vegas Style....I'd say a Sentinel repaint w/ new head mold.

If it is a new mold completely.... I wouldn't have a cluepon.

If it's a leader class Optimus, I'm going to have to ignore it. I've got a G1, deluxe, Voyager, and now a Classics Henkei on the way. I'm stopping the Optimus collecting for the foreseeable future.
