I'm going to try and clear the existing confusions about Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime and his various trailers/back packs, and add-ons.

If I miss something please feel free to tell me, and I'll add it to the post.


Starting from small to large:

Cyberverse
Without Trailer

1. The Preview Optimus Prime which was packaged with his Jet-pack attachment and a pair of 3D glasses. Later repackaged without the glasses. Darker deco, with flames.
2. Upcoming Battle Steel version. With Guns and Swords. (Thanks Jelze)

With Trailer

1. Action Set Optimus Prime with Armored Weapons Platform (Commander mold, lighter deco, no flames)

Deluxe:
Without Trailer

1. Walmart Exclusive
2. New copper repaint with the Voyager's mechtech weapon painted red. EDIT: According to Kapow Toys, this apparently is going to be a Walmart Exclusive.

With Trailer

1. Takara Chronicles 2 pack. Deluxe Prime plus Trailer. also fits on the G1 Prime included in the set. (Thanks JelzeGoldRabbit)

Voyager:
Without Trailer

1. The Standard Voyager with an unsightly solar panel motif.
2. Fire Burst Optimus Prime. Features orange flames/electrical detailing
3. Walmart Exclusive Battle Hooks Optimus Prime with Deluxe Commetor. 2010 Hunt fo rhe Decepticons Battle Blades OP remolded to have Hooks instead of Blades (Reuse of Japan only Battle Hooks Optimus Prime). Features Orange Removal Matrix, and comes packaged with a repaint of 2009 Revenge of the Fallen Landmine (Thanks shockwavedude)

With Trailer

1. The thus far Takara Exclusive DA-03 Optimus Prime + MechTech Trailer. The Trailer is just a box with tons of ports to plug weapons into. It does away with the solar panels, and has instead a solid paint job as well as some slight remolding, including the tanks on the sides making them less obtrusive in Robot mode.

KRE-O
Without Trailer

1. KRE-O Prime Cab with Prime Kreon (Has a more Classics/G1 look to him, flat nosed truck)

With Trailer

1. KRE-O Optimus Prime with Trailer. Movie inspired Design. Trailer can open up, carries two motorcycles. Can also be assembled as a Base for the 5 mini-figs included.
   

Leader/Supreme:
Without Trailer

1. Takara DA-!5: ROTF Leader Prime + Winged Jetpack and huge Gatling guns. Jetpack does not transform into trailer. Its Takara only at this time.
   (Very reminiscent of Galaxy Force/Cybertron Prime)
   
2. Takara Future release of DA-28. Apparently another ROTF Leader Prime mold with some retooling. (Thanks Jelze for reminding me that I knew about this)

With Trailer
No Leader Class with Trailer at this time.

Ultimate
Without Trailer
No Ultimate version without trailer at this time

With Trailer

1. Completely New mold. Very very large. The Prime section is the equivalent of an Ultra Class OP, plus the huge trailer that transforms into battle armor, and BFG chest cannon and helmet.

Both Primes are the same ROTF Legends Prime.

Close - the Preview Prime has a different (more movie accurate) paintjob than the one packaged with the trailer.

Ah, yes the paint scheme difference.

Don't forget the trailer that comes with the Chronicles set. It's a Deluxe Prime repaint with an adequately sized trailer that unfolds in a different way than the Voyager one does. Even fits on G1 Prime, imagine that.

And there's indeed a third version of the Cyberverse Commander coming up, with battle blades instead of guns. And you missed Voyager Fireburst Prime, which even has a gallery here. Plus, DA-28 is an upcoming Prime mold which is either new, or a retool of the RotF Leader.

O.k, I new I missed some, didn't think it was so many.

Can't believe I never new about him, Is Fireburst exclusive to some store or something?

The Cyberverse with Battle Blades, I hadn't heard about. Any pics?

I can't believe I forgot about the Chronicles 2 pack. I even have the Megatron 2 pack on pre-order.

As for DA-28 from what I've heard it looks to be a remolded ROTF Leader Class with a big honking gun. Since its still not released, and we don't know much about it yet, I did not add it in. Though I guess I'll put it in now.

Fireburst is general retail Voyager, and comes in the same wave as Voyager Sentinel Prime. Just a darker, fire-themed Prime with orange windows and solar panels, but he comes with a new weapon that turns into an axe.

Odd, that I haven't seen him around. Though to be honest I haven't seen Voyager Sentinel either. Just Leader Sentinel.

Guess the wave hasn't reached me yet.

The Cyberverse Commander mold is entirely new. There are three versions:

Preview
Regular Release
Battle Steel Optimus Prime (Blades and new guns, no jetpack)

WTH is the point of the horrendous looking solar panels anyhow? They're not even in the movie that I recall. You'd think there'd be a reason for making the fig look like s**t...but nope, just for funzies.

It's to give him a bit of a Space theme, along with his gun having those panels. That's the Japanese name is "Space Optimus Prime"

Just as well...had it not looked like crap I quite likely woulda bought it, and I really don't need any more movie Primes. So thanks, Hasbro.

I think preview commander prime is slightly darker than the regular release, and comes with 3D glasses.

I wouldn't notice any difference, and photo comparisons are subjects to lighting and photoshopping.

O.k done some tidying up on the original post.

In keeping with the Prime portion size class of the sets I placed the arguably supreme versions in the Leader section, since its that size class Prime that's being used.

Ultimate is a complete set, and the cab portion is not available on its own so it keeps its Ultimate label.

There's one issue with your list I saw. When the Ultimate Optimus Prime is in robot-mode he is actually pretty small by himself. Somewhere in between a Voyager and Leader. When combined with his trailer he's huge.

How's that a problem? I specifically stated he was Ultra sized when not combined. Ultra size is the size class between Voyager and Leader.

He is Ultimate when he is combined with his armor. Also stated that since he's not available without his trailer, there's no point in placing him in a category of his own.

Quick update to reflect the new info from Kapow Toys that the Deluxe Optimus Prime with the copper deco is now apparently going to be a Walmart Exclusive.

I'll keep the list updated so as to avoid confusions.

Update #2: Added the KRE-0 Versions just for completeness.

Before anybody asks, I'm not going to add the small non-transforming DieCast versions.

Theres also a walmart exlusive voyager prime, he's a repaint of battle hooks, i think comes with commitor
