I loved the aesthetic of the Activision games (aside from Megatron in FOC, who looked a bit of a mess). That Shockwave is still one of my personal favourites. As you say, the SIEGE ones largely don't look "Cybertronian", they look like future/concept human vehicles. Which is not the same thing.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Siege live for that reason.
More love than hate but still... We were promised CYBERTRONIAN vehicles. Still, thanks to that we finally have a decent CHUG Ratchet and Ironhide.

The Tetrajets too are a highlight... if not for that slight bugbear I have with them.

Nemesis Primal wrote:Since I am in a minority that finds Siege Jetfire unappealing due to lack of interest in the G1 design, I suppose I'll mention the Jetfire I DO want: a new Generations mold for Unicron Trilogy Jetfire. I'd honestly like to see any of his three UT designs get an update, I liked all three of them, although the Armada and Energon ones probably need the update more than Cybertron (and the Cybertron one was also the least visually interesting). Plus all three of then have repaint potential obscure enough to be Selects releases (Spacewarp, Overcast, and Sky Shadow, respectively).

...but they won't happen because Siege Jetfire exists and therefore HasTak won't make another Generations Jetfire figure for like 5 years, and apparently UT updates can only exist as remolds/repaints right now, so all I can do is sigh and continue to hold out hope for Demolishor as an Impactor retool.

See, I agree with this. I much prefer the T30 Jetfire look compared to the cartoon one, the cartoon one doesn't do it for me.

And armada Jetfire is one of the top 10 figures in my collection, I love that toy. It deserves another look. And I hope to get a Cybertron Jetfire at TFcon this year

I would love for Takara to reveal an updated Armada Jetfire to go with the op they're planning. He's a swell figure and you can't go wrong with a shuttle mode

If they are really making a new Armada Optimus, it would be a very smart move to make a new Armada Jetfire so that they can combine for a super mode. And while we're at it, make a new Armada Overload / Ultra Magnus too.

Just imagine the TOWER OF DEATH, but with nice articulation points and action poses!

And some nice tight joints to keep those poses. I wonder how that figure is actually coming along as we saw him before the seacons :-?

T30 Jetfire is lazy faux-parts garbage. Classics Jetfire beats the pants off it in transformation and features.

-Kanrabat- wrote:MPM '07 Megatron is out.
In some years, they will make MPM ROTF Megatron.

So before they FINALLY make MPM DOTM Megatron, it will be a freaking decade or what? I want a MPM DOTM Megatron because the SS leader is garbage with his huge blocky legs.
Ugh... We could have possibly gotten a good Leader DOTM Megs in the DOTM line but nooo, the stupid idiots made a smegging Leader BUMBLEBEE instead  :-x :BOOM: :BANG_HEAD: If I ever find one for cheap - as in, thrift store/yard sale cheap - I'm going to get it solely for the sake of someday destroying it utterly with a soldering iron in front of the stupid useless goodfornothing bozo who decided to go with a Leader-class Bee instead of a Leader-class Megs.

That being said... We'll probably get an MPM DotM Megatron before we get an MPM Dino/Mirage because smegging Ferrari.

Yeah, that was very baffling that we got a NEW MOLD of a Leader DOTM Bee. That was dumb.

But this here dummass bought SS Leader DOTM Megatron anyway. At full 80$CAN with the taxes.
Maybe I overpaid 20$CAN, but overall he's better in hand than expected. Blocky legs aside, he's pretty nice.
But owning him make me desire a MPM DOTM Megatron even more.

Thrilling 30 is my favorite Jetfire, and is one of the Top 10 figures of my collection. He is awesome and I love him. I doubt he can be replaced in my collection.

I do need to hunt down that Leader Bumblebee someday, I love all the Stealth Force stuff on it

If you don't already have it, hunt down the gigantic HFTD Battle Ops Bumblebee. Takara chose it as it's very first (or second?) Movie Masterpiece for a reason.

Oh, and if you can get G1 Jetfire, even without the armor parts, you will be blown away by that genius mold.

Nah, I don't want Battle ops, just the Leader.

And I already have a complete G1 Jetfire

Battle Ops is fantastic. If you come across it for cheap, jump on it. As for the Leader DOTM Bee, the backpack of gimmicks is entirely optional. So much so that for TLK, they did a limited run of him without it. I say both of them can be found easily in a toy hunt. I came across them often but I passed each times. I already have Golden Battle Ops Bee and I never wanted the DOTM Leader.

BTW, that G1 Jetfire is a work of art. It's a MP before the MPS were a thing.

Somebody may have already said this, but I am new and it's worth saying again:

Nightbeat.

Now I know we (finally) got him in generations and I have been grudgingly using that mold (because no other exists) but I just wish they would design a Nightbeat mold on it's own terms, kind of like Apeface is getting one in Siege despite properly belonging in Titans... Nightbeat is a fan favorite...or at least I really like him and the generations toy just isn't a good representation. The head is good, the colors are good, but ultimately it just is a Bumblebee repaint. And yet it seems that Nightbeat is just never on the list of characters to get their own mold...

With the success of the TR line, and the upcoming Apeface, I'm sure the rest of the headmasters will come sooner than later. Maybe in Siege Part Two?

BTW, that Gen Nightbeat is merely a consolation prize. This Bee mold is garbage and this Nightbeat was badly painted with baffling missing apps like the broken stripe on the side of the car mode. I have the G1 original and it's a pretty nice toy that need a proper update.

And while they make Nightbeat, they better make a retool-repaint of him into Masterforce's Minerva/Minelba.

It's "Minerva"; "Minelba" is a transliteration goof on the packaging.
And I'm sure they will.
I just hope when they do the 1988 Headmasters that they retain the separate helmets of the originals. TR Nightbeat and Siren, and LGEX Minerva and Cab, suffer appearance-wise from trying to shoehorn the helmet onto the inner head figure.

I think it depends on the reception to Apeface and the New Scorponok (next year?). A tangent for this thread (and one I hope comes to pass) is for a City-Bot Scorponok that scales correctly with Fortress Maximus.

I agree that Scorponok should be the same size as Fort Max. But fans didn't seem to mind too much that TR Trypticon was shorter than T30 Metroplex. I caught a lot of flak for my dissenting opinion. Sure Trypticon is a great toy despite its lack of size, but I still wish it had been just a bit bigger.

Although I've seen far more characters return than I thought I ever would, I'll still throw in my two cents for an all new Raiden, and a Metrotitan repaint of T30 Metroplex as TF's I wan't but I don't think I'll ever see. please prove me wrong Hasbro/TT

More or less. It's a case of potahto-poteito. Japanese strugging with the R/L B/V sounds as usual.

Official licenced product below:

Note that it's "Minerva" or "Minelba" depending on the mood when they release something.
https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Minelba
So for me (and pretty much officially), BOTH are valid.

On a funny note, Nightbeat was released in Japan under the name "Minerva Nightbeat". It was the exact same Nightbeat toy America got, but it was the Minerva character in other colors.
That said... Nightbeat got R63'd before R63 was a thing! This could lead to a general release of an updated Generations Minerva toy, and a Nightbeat colored version for Generations Select. This could be neat. And they did a Nightbeat colored version of the Gutto Kurru figure:

Just created a concept figure. A prime master version of Fortress Maximus. Maybe even Unicron or G1 Scorponok in this category and hopefully not online exclusives.

Huge city-bots as tiny Prime Masters?
That genuinely adorable!

But speaking of which, it's too bad the other Pretenders didn't make it as Prime Masters. So many characters, so little slots available... Maybe the Pretenders-Prime-Masters will make a comeback eventually and the others will be made?
