DOTM = shelf warmers?

I wish I had some pics to back this up, but are the majority of DOTM figures doomed to be shelf warmers?!? It seems like I keep seeing the exact same shelf/peg warmers wherever I go. Keep in mind, I'm talking about the same toys each time, not a Bumblebee bought and restocked with another Bumblebee, I mean the exact same Bumblebee doomed to a Toy Story 2 Stinky Pete life.
Are the kids not buying this line? Are the collectors even interested? Is anyone else seeing the same figures sitting on the shelves week after week?
Meh... found my Warpath... saving money until this awful wave is done...
forget this old man's rant.

They just stocked an over whelming large amount in most places, but, give it a bit more time to see if they sell. The movie only came out a few weeks ago, and that's the big push to get them selling. I'm sure we'll see them thin up. Maybe a few guys will be resident shelf warmers.

They overstocked it bad. Good for us collectors I suppose.

Yeah, give it time. The next line warmers will be the Prime one once those get released. I'm sure the DOTM stuff will be going to clearence about that time too.

This.
The first few waves are ALWAYS overstocked.
And any time a new line comes out there are ALWAYS several dozen threads claiming it is a bum shelfwarming line based solely on stores overstocking the first few waves.

hell yeah. at the walmart in my area, roadbusters, topspins, skids and mudflaps (saw that coming) primes, leader BBs, almost no megatrons what so ever. crankcases everywhere, jolts. its horrible. these things WILL be on shelves for a long time. and barricades, laserbeaks and spacecases are hardly there.
