Worst toys, you'd like to see redone

Not ever toy is a gem. Some times, they make total and complete duds. Some of these concepts were probably doomed from the beginning. They just weren't meant to work. Then again, other times, they just didn't pull it off right, or something was a bit miffed. Though, in this harsh world, if it doesn't sell, we may never see anything like it again.
I'm speaking concepts, characters, even individual toys.
What are some toys that you thought missed the mark, but, you'd like to see them give it another go? What are somethings you'd do different? Color scheme, alt mode, maybe they landed in the wrong universe?
I think a really obvious one, is universe galvatron. Now, I'd like to see a cybetronian alt mode for galvatron, giving him a sleeker robot. Still, the idea of him getting an earth mode was an interesting one to me. He looks nothing like galvatron in the earth mode though, it's a little too much in disguise. So, yea, I guess I'm asking for two toys here. I hope down the line, we see this idea of galvatron scanning an earth vehicle again, without such crash dummy fall apart results.
Another one is, the Beast Wars mutants. Which were canceled animorph toys shoehorned into BW toys. Which, really in animorphs only tobias went from animal to animal, but anyway...
It got me to thinking, some of them are pretty solid toys. Now, if they do the same concept and get a robot mode in there, they'd be pretty awesome. I know it was an idea toyed around with in the early BW days of having optimus be a bat and gorilla. Be neat to have a beast-beast triple changer.

Masterpiece Optimus Prime. His vehicle mode is completely out of proportion and he looks too much like a cartoon character. And his transformation isn't even show accurate! Not to mention the voice effects. They could have just taken his Autobot City line out of the movie. That toy needs some serious work. Right now I can't even call it "mediocre".
Because it's actually a flippin' awesome figure.

Aren't they already doing that? The next MP is a remake of Prime with a better looking truck mode and is in scale with the rest of the other MP figures except for Megatron. Also, you can't expect a perfect, show accurate transformation and a decent truck mode since that that would require some serious deforming of the parts involved and I don't think toy technology is there yet.
As for me, I'd like a new Cybertron Leobreaker. That "hand" mode of his is pathetic, plus his robot mode has weird proportions.

Ironhide and Ratchet...I think Hasbro should return the favor and steal iGear's design and sell them for retail price.

I think they should just turn back the clock and actually repaint the Energon Tow Line mold like they should have in the first place.
Seriously. The Botcon 2005 versions should have never happened. I like them, but they are figures that would have served better being released at mass retail.

CHURG galvetron

any redo would do that "thing" justice

aslo the first two movie megatrons. poor things never stood a chance. i should not have to struggle to make those damned things better. the amount of time i put into customizing those bricks ridiculous. >.<

Well either way, I think they usually warn you before issuing THE warning. But just to be safe, let's avoid using that term.

News to me and I'm a mod.
I know CP sacrificed a goat to get rid of the term.

There's a lot of G1 gimmicks I'd like to see rethought/redone, or the characters redone without it altogether, but in the classicsverse (which, I guess, is better than CHURG).
jumpstarters, battlechargers, duocons, triggerbots, firecons, clones, throttlebots, head/target/powermasters, pretenders, etc...
They have done some of these, but I would love to see more.

You're undoing all the good work I've done here!

I'd like too see the Monsterbots redone. With truely monstrous alt modes and lots of articulation with massive amounts of sparks blasting out of there faces when you press the button. Not a quarter of an inch like the G1 figs.
Fansproject ,i believe, would be the best candidates to pull this off. Minus the flamethrowing part. Hasbro or Takara would never ever touch these guys with a ten foot pole and if they did, they'd be complete shite.
So my only hope would be from a 3rd party racket of some sort.
Hasbro really surprised me with Gen Wreck-Gar though.....he was a character i desperately wanted to see, next to the Monsterbots ,get a redo and i thought i would never see it happen. So maybe they could surprise me!!? i doubt it....not on this one.

While not an ideal monsterbot we did get a Repugnus in Cybertron.

They can't add the spark gimmick anymore due to lawsuit back in the 90s where a girl set herself on fire with a spark gimmick in a Barbie toy.
You'll just have to settle for awesome toys that don't have a flint rock in them.

I remember Tech Deck having ads for sparking mini-skateboards back in the 00's, though.

Classics Galvatron
Classics Tankor/Octane
Energon Wing Saber
Okay Classics Galvy goes without saying but the same goes with the recent Botcon Galvy IMHO. Seriously Hasbro that's the best you could have done for one of the most feared Decepticons? I already hated that mold as a pathetic Springer so seeing it again as Galvatron....

.
IMHO Classics Tankor/Octain should have been Voyager class like Powerglide or Stratosphere instead. It would have been perfect when in plane mode. Instead for me he is not a triple changer just a duo cause of that really bad scale plane.
And last Energon Wing Saber with his poor articulation and crappy lack of decent weapons. I think its a huge injustice towards the representation of Star Saber. It would be awesome to see any of these 3 re-called and re-tooled...'nuff said!

HAY. I love Wingsaber for all his clunkyness. Don't mess with the stealthbrick.

G1 Rodimus Prime !!! What a pile of crap that is!
I recently bought one on ebay as I always wanted one, but I'm amazed at the total disappointment of the figure. Dr Phil would yell 'What were you thinking!!!!!'
Next to G1 Galvatron he looks tiny, next to G1 Prime he looks Barbie doll thin and next to G1 Hot Rod he looks like a disfigured distant relative. Hardly the big hero he was positioned to be. And what the hell is that alt mode!!! A motorhome?!FUN!!!

It defies belief!!! Lets not even mention the fact that he was about as articulated as pencil. Imagine unwrapping that on xmas 86! The huge smile and anticipation turning to a look of pure disillusionment would have been great in the photos!

then

then
No wonder G1 came unstuck when Hasbro released the 86 line.
I know there was a recent master piece Rodimus, but I think a redo in the Generations line would be sweet. Make him bigger and better than HotRod/Rodimus of that line, like the Rodimus from Energon.

Powermaster Optimus Prime.
I'd like to see an actual action figure instead of a brick. With more poseable legs and arms. And if they include Godbomber like they did in the reissue, make his combination a little smoother.

They did. It's called Omega Prime.
