Hey fellas why does the Generations/Universe line cost more than even the movie line? Hell, they been out around the same time as the Hunt For the Deceptions line, which I just seen the few remaining Ironhide, Sideswipe, and a few (ugly )others and they're just 7 bucks, at Walmart, but the Generations ones they still go for almost $12.

HFTD line is over with and that's why they are on clearence. And the Generations line is still going so they are the price they are. DOTM line will be cheaper to me cause it's the movie which is out and won't be as long of a run. DOTM toys will be on sale at different stores while the Generations line won't as it's a line that doesn't have their own cartoon series and what not. They are just a homage to G1. That's my thought.

Ok, I get that, but in all fairness it does appear to be the same ones that were out when the ROTF line came out. Say does Hasbro have any plans to keep Generations line going?

Yes, retools/remolds of Wreck-Gar and Thunderwing are being released to kick it off again.

Retailers purchase less of it over all because it's not movie product, so they have to raise the final retail price.

The things we like as collectors aren't necessarily the top sellers.

Ask GI Joe collectors how this goes. >:oP

It's probably because they realize who buys Generations (the collectors) and that they would be willing to pay a pretty hefty price for them.

Knowing the popularity of dotm, or at least in Asia, even the leader BBs sold out fast! This makes me wonder why hasbro did not re-pack HFTD SS in DOTM packing and sold it off again! the fools who buy TFs just for DOTM wont realise the diffrence! As of now HFTD SS is less than 1/4 the price of a leader.
