Henkei Rodimus Reprint for Protector: Is It Worth It?

I mean, I already own CaC/BiS Rodimus and as everyone knows he doesn't quite match Protectors' colors, although I managed to live with that.
However now there's a Henkei reprint coming out: I would like to know from those of you who own all the Rodimus repaint, if it is worth taking the Henkei version in order to replace the CaC/BiS one, or Henkei still doesn't match Protectors' colors that good, and I should instead wait and hope for a Classics Rodimus re-release.

Protector was tailored to Classics/Henkei Rodimus to begin with, so yeah, it's worth it. Just be careful when ordering though, rumor has it a bootleg of the very same toy is on its way from KOToys.com.

I cannot stress enough how awful BiS Rodimus looks inside Protector

Thank you, I know BIS looks terrible inside of Protector, I was just wondering if the Henkei version looks THAT good inside of it or if chasing a Classics version is the best option...

I prefer the Classics version in the Protector armor. The fancied up Henkei version reminds me more of Hot Rod with his show-off attitude coming through in the chrome.

I agree 100%. The Hasbro version is where it's at with Protector. Besides, Henkei Hot Rodimus looks too pretty with the better flame deco and chrome.

The difference between BIS and Henkei, yes. Between Henkei and Classics, no. Classics may be the better option if the price is close, but between those two I'd just go with the more reasonable price.

Thank you all, I eventually preordered the Henkei re-release. I put it in a big order, so I probably ended up paying even less than what the KO will cost...

one thing to beware of with the henkei version, the trailer can scrape off the gold chrome in vehicle mode. be very careful around the spots where the spoiler comes out
