I have a dilemna. I can't decide which I like better. Henkei Thundercraker or Generations Thundercracker. Henkei looks more like the animated version but Genations looks more like G1. What to do

Yea if you're trying to decide which to buy. I already have both.

I decided on Generations when I was choosing. It was the cheaper one.

I've got the Botcon version and the Henkei open and have 2 Gen 'Crackers on card at the moment. It's the Henkei that's on the shelf. Why? Simply because the wing stripes match on the Henkei versions of the season 1 Seekers, for a matched set it's the only way to go. The down side to the Henkei? Due to casting problems on that run the missile launchers don't stay in the arm sockets without some modification (the old clear nail polish trick). If you're not looking at all 3 Henkeis then the matching issue isn't a factor and the Generations version comes in considerably cheaper and will currently be more easily available.

Go the even more expensive third road and look for BotCon 2007 Thundercracker

I went with Gen. Thundercracker myself, because I can't stand the uniform striping of the Henkeis. If you look closely, the G1 toys did not match up, so why should the Henkeis? The only Henkei Seeker I want is Starscream, nobody more.

The faction symbols are facing the wrong way on the wings of the Generations one. Henkei wins. But Generations has found a place as the blue Rainmaker. I do like the little 'Con symbol on his chest, though.

To me, money speaks first. So, "reversing my hat and throwing my pokeball", Generations Thundercracker, I choose you.

I strongly recommend Generations, unless your other Seekers are Henkei, in which case you should get Henkei for consistency. Generations is not only far cheaper and easier to find, it also does not have chrome, which I don't like, and think seems out of place on the Seekers.

i got my henkei one long before generations one came out. seeing the generations one i still prefer the henkei one. although i would like to get generations TC to repaint it.

I was lucky and got a great deal on Henkei TC at my local collectables shop and I chose not to open him not knowing it's value would skyrocket or if Hasbro would release one soon. So I picked up the Hasbro version and found it to be right on despite cost wise between the two. You can't go wrong with the Hasbro one dude, everything else you're just splitting hairs...'nuff said!

Yeah, tv accurate is upside down in bot mode. Its supposed to be that way.

I've wanted a Classics Thundercracker for so long, I probably would have bought it no matter what it looked like. But I am very happy that the Generations version just happens to be my favorite deco. I've spent a lot of time comparing photos of all three, and I definitely, conclusively prefer it over both Henkei and BotCon TC. I like the shade of blue, the red really makes it pop, and I like the Decepticon symbols just as they are. I love it.

I went that route as well, and I am really happy with the Generations figure.

I chose the generations thundercracker due to the cheaper $11 usa deluxe price.

I could never justify spending $28+7 in shipping fees for a deluxe TF toy.

Generations, easily. I actually bought the Henkei one when it first came out, and happily bought the Generations one because the shade of blue is just so much nicer. It's all around a great deco, and for a way cheaper price, it's definitely the way to go. Not to mention no loose joints, unlike the Henkei seekers.

I sold off my Henkei TC, I'd only recommend getting it if you have to have them match.

I think I've made my decision. All my opened Gen Thundercrackers have blue on their faces (which is a QC issue with Hasbro) so I'm going with Henkei.

Takara's QC is a bit worse: two of the same limb or weapons not pegging in properly is common wth Henkei TC.

Not that I condone such things, but get the KO. Cheaper and better quality...

Not really, I own a Legit Henkei, a CHMS and a Version 1 KO. Both KOs have issues of their own making the Legit one still better.
The CHMS version has horrible paint apps (I own several CHMS seekers and all of them have sloppy paint apps)
Version 1 KOs have very loose joints and have the same issue as the legit figure with the missile launchers peg being a bit smaller than the peg hole.

Also more on topic:
I like the updated look and deeper blue tone of the Generations version, But I also like the extra paint apps on the Henkei version. You can't really go wrong either way.
