HELP! UNIQUE LYNSA PERU BUMBLEBEE FOUND

Hello guys, wondered if you could help me out here, I have acquired a Peru Bumblebee with a difference, it has a CliffJumper head, I'm told it's 100% original and not KO, it looks genuine to me. Has anyone ever seen a LYNSA with a factory mismatch before, is this a common trait with Peru BB. I see two possibilities - Factory mistake or a customs job with peach CJ, but I've never seen a peach CJ - there is rumour of it and a photograph of a packaged Lynsa CJ which some people say is Orange and not peach. the guy I got it from said this is its original state. please Help! it's Peru by the back panel ( octagonal rather than a cross shape ) does anybody have any information on peach BB's. I have only seen a couple of photos in robot mode on the interwebz, all other pics are of him in Car mode so it's hard to find out if this is indeed unique or common.

thanks in advance :)

Right here ;)

To be honest I'm quite baffled with this piece. I know the Mini Vehicles had quite a few color varieties in Latin America, but a peach-colored one I've never heard of. One thing's certain, and that's rule number 1:

NEVER believe a seller who claims an item isn't a Knockoff.

If it wasn't for the markings, I'd say it's a KO. I'll have to look into it more.

*EDIT* BINGO! Apparently Peru went a bit gung-ho in the coloring department. Put short, each Mini-bot may have had no more than 5 different repaints, and none are the same as any US version. Again, you can thank Maz of TF-1.com:

Mind you, not all have been confirmed, but it's a good start.

Im no G1 expert but chances are, this is a KO or a result of the factory workers screwing around (like clear convoy)

The rims or the car here are solid silver pieces while the G1 cliff/bee had detailing...

But i could be wrong... ;)

It could be faded too. Could have originally been red or orange.

A bath in peroxide will determine that.

I want to say it's faded, but based on the pic, the color is too even to be faded.

This has got to be the most puzzling figure ever.

or it could have been a factory fault with the paint or a prototype

I know it's hard, but read the article I posted. It says the Peruvian Bumblebees and Cliffjumpers had plastic tires instead of rubber. I'd say it's pretty legit, but the Cliffjumper head still throws me off. Could it be an attempt towards Show-accuracy, like Pretender Bumblebee was with its Cliffjumper head, or just a silly mistake?

Unless we find a peach-colored Cliffjumper (one that isn't a VW Beetle) we'll never know.

Thanks for taking this mystery on JelZe GoldRabbit, And everybody else who has had a Look at this, I am with you on the authenticity too Mr GoldRabbit, I'm thinking that when they did a Run of peach CJ & BB that they might of all been on the same sprue, or some how they ran out of BB heads due to breakage etc, Or the last Idea is that this happened after it left the factory, somebody owned a peach BB and CJ and swapped around themselves, I like the Pretender Idea but think the guys at the Lynsa factory wouldn't of been that interested in toy accuracy. I bought this from A guy in Peru (And it wasn't cheap!) it was only on Ebay for a mater of Minutes with a Buy Now option, As a BB fan I check Ebay religiously every half hour or so during the day. I was very lucky because I've never seen a Blue or Peach one on Ebay before and have heard that the Blue bee isn't as rare as the peach one, so I checked the photo against the Net photos and it was the same - solid wheels with different hubcaps, peach toned and Hasbro stamped, Identical all apart from this mysterious Head!!! between CJ & BB mini bot moulds - only the heads & back panel can be interchanged, all other parts have minor differences so can't be changed. I also wondered if there is anyone out here with a Lynsa CJ.

Hi, from my experience I can tell that this is a legit lynsa BB peach. the QC of lynsa wasn´t the greatest and more than a couple of minicars had the heads misplaced. hope this helps regards leo.-

Got any photos of those misassembled toys? Just curious, this may seal the deal.

Indeed, That would sort it, or this could be the first instance of photo evidence.

I live in argentina, and I've been looking for southamericans minibots quite a bit, sadly I don't have any with the wrong head but i've seen a couple. the lynsa ones are among the toughest to find. I only got my hands on a couple of gears, a yellow BB and a dark green brawn. Leo.-

Hi.

I know I'm a little late to the topic, I just noticed it while browsing.

That is indeed a legit Peruvian Lynsa Mini. As someone else mentioned; QC issues such as this have cropped up in the past. I myself have a yellow Bumblebee with peach head.

Congrats on your find, and hope this helps.

Ras

WOW, a yellow with peach head, I am super stoked at this reveal!! now that's a find... Please please post a picture! i would love to see your gem! I have never seen a yellow one with a different head! also the lynsa yellow plastic is unique in comparison to all other yellow bees, I had the chance to get one once but it was without a Head! gutted! Ideally I like to own a yellow with yellow head and a peach with bumblebee head mould to be complete. Peace.
