So It's Finally Happened...

Back in '09 i bought ROTF Leader Prime, and struggled through my first transformation. Since then, I've transformed him less than 20 times, and each time a bead of sweat still forms on my brow when it comes to the little tabs, in particular, removing the red parts from Prime's rib cage. Well finally today as I was going back to truck mode, one of the tabs on the end snapped clean off!

Do you guys have any suggestions for repairing? Perhaps better technique in transforming him? Any modifications that will help?

ok here it is. you need a dremmel tool with the ball bit. you have to drill hole into teh front of the rails so that peg can just slide in the rail inside of the ribs. so that way you can just slide the peg up and it should go in the track and come out with ease.

Ouch. I had a lot of trouble with that as well. I transformed mine once to truck and then back to robot, and after that I said screw it, it was too much of a pain. But I really liked the truck mode so I went out and bought another one and transformed it so I'd have him in both modes. And DD93, that's a pretty good solution.

Why bother repairing the broken tab? As long as the robot looks good just leave it. It was in the way anyway!

Supposed to? Sounds like you "have to" transform them. That's not really the case.

If you wantto leave it in robot mode, leave it. If you want to leave it in vehicle mode, leave it. But if you sometime, along the road, want to transform the figure, I say keep the instructions somewhere, just in case.

Yes, I get what you're saying, in some people's mind, you have to transform the figure once, (damn you, Bay: Fallen and Shockwave) but really, it's not a requirement, now is it?

No, we don't 'have' to transform them. And in the case of ROTF Leader-Prime, it can be too frustrating, time-consuming and stressful to.

He didn't say "have", he said supposed to. Meaning that's it's intended purpose. If you don't, it's kind of a waste of the item's purpose.

They're called TransFormers, that's their main gimmick, that's what they're supposed to do. You don't have to, no one's forcing you to.

Big difference between what he said and what you're implying. Kinda putting words in his mouth. Not cool.

Oh, and transforming him requires patience. People wanted more complex transformations, we got them. No one's ever happy. Be careful what you wish for, you WILL get it.

We did that. We got it. No right to complain now.

That comes down to individual point of view. Who are "we?" I didn't ask for any more complex transformations. I liked my Armada and Animated transformations. Hell, even most of the Bayverse stuff is simple enough. RotF Prime, however, IMO is the best and most articulate Transformer toy to date, so of course it will have a complex transformation. I'm glad I got an awesomely detailed figure, and I put up with the complete transformation into each mode at least once. But it was frustrating. So once was enough. I also got Shadow Command Megatron from RotF and transformed him into tank mode. It was also a difficult transformation, and he will never see robot mode again, because IMO his robot mode is butt-ugly, and it is also quite time consuming to transform him. This is just my POV, of course. Some people love the challege of a difficult transformation, and that's fine. Just don't put those of us who don't under the same hat, that's all. I did not ask for more complex transformations, I can complain all I want to.

Wow you transform your TF toys over 20+times.

I don't have the patience nor spare time nor desire nor frustration levels to transform my TF toys beyond one time. basically if it's packaged in alt mode,it gets transformed into robot mode & never trandformed again. it then gets placed on a display shelf, where it sits forever frozen in time.

Sometimes I even get super LAZY & if hasbro packages a new transformers toy in robot mode. I don't even bother to transform it. it just gets put on a display shelf where it stays forever un-touched & starts collecting dust.
