To start, i dont suggest a leader class. Get some deluxes to get a feel of the whole line first. I would start with DOTM delux BB. Yeah, its the 100th bumblebee weve seen but this one is quite nice! The wreckers (roadbuster and topspin currently) are great too.

I say hold out on any megs or shockwave, a leader one is rumoured to be approaching... I also suggest you get buster prime somewhere along the line... But if buster's out of your reach, hold out... there might be a hasbro issue of a ROTF prime in the DOTM line... But if you want a leader class now to fiddle with, your best bet is sentinal.

ROTF is gonna be hard to find in stores, and everything in there came back in DOTM, so i suggest you just start with DOTM.

:D hope this helped!

Yeah I agree Topspin and Roadbuster are very nice I would love to get em along with Leadfoot once it comes out. Thank you for your opinions. I just kind of started collecting I just purchased a ROTF deluxe sideswipe and had a ROTF Leader Optimus prime. Ive been thinking about HFTD Battle blades bumblebee. What do you think?

Its very good, if you can get if at a good price. But it seems kinda lengty and out of proportion. I say perhaps the DOTM bee looks a tad cooler 8)

Oo the only reason i dont really want the the nitro or deluxe Bumblebee DOTM is cause it doesnt have the flip down mask. ONly the Leader bumblebee DOTM has the flip down mask unless I am wrong. =(

Yes it is. It's super-impressive. Superduper, even.

If your wallet can take it, I suggest you start with 1 figure in each size class in the DotM line becase that's the easiest to get right now. My suggestions would be Leader Class Ironhide, Voyager Class Optimus Prime (unless you want to shell out for Ultimate Prime) and Deluxe Class Wreckers. If you decide you like the movie lines, from RotF I definitely recommend either Buster Prime or Leader Prime. From the first film I only own Leader Class Megatron, and am happy with it.

Surprisingly (or not), the better movie figures are actually of characters who don't appear in the movie at all. Like DotM Skyhammer. Nice and solid, and the weapon rocks!

It really depends. What are your criteria?

Example...

1. They must be in the movie
Some people only go for toys that were in the movie. Yet as JelZe Goldrabbit says, some of the better toys are actually not in the movie. For me I personally enjoyed Wreckage and Dunerunner from TFTM, for example.

2. What space do you have?
If you have small shelf space, you might like to go with all Deluxes. They'll look nicer than if you have to somehow force a Voyager in, or have a Leader elsewhere removed.

3. Must they be iconic?
Some like Prime and BB are so representative of the line that you simply must have some incarnation of one or the other. I'd say Starscream too. They just have that look unique to the movieverse.

4. Are they interesting to transform?
There are too many to name, but if transformation process is important to you, you can choose based on that. Some people like something very basic, without much manouevring. Others like complex stuff, so leader ROTF OP, DOTM Sentinel, TFTM Voyager Ironhide would be my choices.

5. What is your budget?
So important! I learnt that axiom "Pay now, or pay later" when I started collecting. If you see something you like for sure, BUY IT NOW. Yes, you could try to wait for them to go on sale, as seems to happen in your country very often. Over here, not so. More often than not, you run the risk of the price going up when you end up resorting to epay.

Best of luck!

There many good figs in the movie line and it's hard to pick and choose I would suggest looking for lots or whole collections. All the leaders are great IMO and u still can find battle blades leader op and HFCs leader stars team at some ross stores so start looking there.
