Rough Price Guide to Value my Collection

Hi,
I put together a Transformers collection some years back and I am having a really hard time finding any sort of reliable guide as to the prices today.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have been looking at eBay and what people are asking, but the range is crazy from 0 bids at $0.99 to many bids over $50 and more.
I welcome any advice. Thanks for your time.

i guess the place to start is how big the collection is and what TFs are in the collection.

All right. That's way more helpful than pointing me to a guide if people are willing to actually provide a rough valuation themselves. Anyway, I'll try to list them in a format that makes it easy for you / anyone else to just add their estimate at the end of each item.
Since I have had no luck finding any kind of comprehensive rough guide, this will be quite helpful.
Optimus Prime (front cab only) - good condition......................
Megatron (no accessories) - good condition...........................
Soundwave (no tape) - decent condition...............................
Shockwave (complete) - excellent condition, still works..............
Rodimus Prime (complete) - excellent condition.......................
Devastator (all transformers) - excellent condition..................
Dinobots (full set) - excellent condition, no accessories............
Insecticons (full set) - excellent condition, no accessories.........
Topspin and Twist....................................................
Starscream (excellent condition).....................................
Superion (full set) - excellent condition, stickers poorly applied...
Sharkticon...........................................................
Mirage...............................................................
Brawn................................................................
Bumblebee............................................................
Hoist................................................................
Warpath..............................................................
None of the transformers have the original boxes.
Thank you for your time.

Check either Ebay or Crave to get a rough estimate for what those particular toys go for.

i would say find the price of each one and add it all together to get a price that you can work from.

That's what I was trying to do, and I guess I will keep doing it.
But the range on eBay is hard to work from, I am finding...

Also, the prices of the deals made on Crave seem significantly higher than what eBay suggests.

Well going by Crave, even with the figures unboxed and missing accessories, this collection is upwards of $1200...

That doesn't sound right based on what you described of the figures. Show us a pic and weca n give you a better idea.

Well, here is the bulk of it. Maybe 3/4...
A few items aren't convenient to access right now, like Superion and a few others.

Actually, this is more like 1/2. I couldn't fit some of the pictures into the collage.

No where near $1200.
Swoop, Constructicons, and Gnaw all have bootlegs. Makes it hard to sell them. Same story for Mirage.
Inseticons will net you about $5 a piece if you're lucky.
Not sure about the others. I'll have to research.
Are you planning on selling or something?

Take what you paid and cut it by half. You're there.
ps. TF's are a bad investment.

to be honest, i would rather keep them and keep collecting than sell em. or give them away to a good home.

I haven't ever checked out Crave, so I can't really speak for them, but isn't there an option to check completed listings on eBay? That way you won't have to do math, you can just see what people've already paid.
Unfortunately, accessories definitely affect the price, depending on the figure sometimes drastically. So even for the listings you do find you might have to add/subtract depending on the difference in condition/completion. Good luck, buddy.
